This has to be the easiest and most nearly foolproof of the rough-ins for free-standing tub fillers. It is first class in all respects. You should be aware that this unit will work for Brizo AND Delta (verified with the manufacturer). If purchased as a Brizo it will cost you noticeably more. I bought the unit with the shutoff valves to make the installation a little quicker and easier but either variant will work. The result is a very solid faucet mount with no problems during installation. You will need some basic plumbing and carpentry skills to install this product but the instructions are reasonably good. I am not a contractor; just a homeowner that does most of his own repairs and upgrades around the house. I would buy another of these rough-ins for another project if needed.

I bought this for the Delta Trinsic floor mount tub filler (which I am returning). This rough-in is necessary and not included with the faucet. There is a lower priced version that does not have stops. This is a solid piece of engineering, very well made - solid brass construction. For the difference in price vs the rough in without stops - this is well worth it when you factor in the years of potential use. If you ever have trouble with your tub filler, you can shut off the water to just the tub (vs your entire house).

Sooo expensive for what it is but that’s the only negative. Easy install and sturdy design

The kit is not very easy to install and the instructions were not very clear. They referred to a stinger, which is simply a 2 x 10 or 2 x 12 cut to fit between the floor beams, but this didn’t make sense until I looked it up on YouTube. Once installed, it made the tub filler extremely easy to install and it’s very stable and I highly recommend this product but prep your plumber because it is a little unusual and if they don’t know the product, there is a video on YouTube that could help them out

Used this when we installed out new floor tub! Contractor said to purchase it since it was extremely well made and had water shut offs! He was right and the u it fit perfectly. Great job from Delta making this strong piece for water lines for the free standing tub!
