Performance Tool W1637 50 Ton (100,000 lbs.) Heavy Duty Hydraulic Bottle Jack

I ordered 2 to evenly jack a vehicle. First jack was so heavily covered in paint that it was completely seized! Second jack is so loose that it has no pressure to raise the jack point. Release valves on both units also painted shut with heavy yellow paint...totally useless! Don't waste your time...

Appears to be dipped in poor quality paint which flakes off but is a nuisance on the parts that need to be broken free. One of the two I purchased leaked fluid from the small piston on first use. I doubt it would come near lifting 12 tons as it struggled with the 1-2 tons I raised. It needs significant force to retract once the load is lowered. I wouldn't trust it to hold anything over my body.As for the warranty, Wilmar Corp requires you to contact them by letter post to request replacement parts which I doubt would be practical to service anyway. I won't take a chance on another Performance Tool / Wilmar product.

Package was beat up but it was a heavy item so wasn’t overly concerned. But what was inside was laughable. The jack had definitely been used, paint chipped, bottom paint was worn off, plastic packaging was ripped etc, etc. A feeble attempt was made (by a two year old, maybe younger) to touch up some parts of the jack with new paint. It only made the worn parts more pronounced.Buyer beware. Sent it back immediately.
