Fallingwater
I admire all of Frank Lloyd Wight's work; however, I am obsessed with Fallingwater. I was fortunate to be able to visit Fallingwater an take the tour. The house is even more magnificent when you actually see it and walk through its rooms. The book contained the information I was seeking. I was curious to know about Fallingwater from Frank Lloyd Wright's vision to the completion of the house and its surroundings. He was definitely a visionary--way ahead of his time.

Wonderful Account of the Tumultous Creation of Fallingwater
This is a brief but fascinating history of Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater, the most famous house in America not located at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Some reviewers express disappointment that all the photos in the book are black and white. I understand this disappointment and believe the book would be a five-star with no doubt with a few color photos included. Nevertheless, if you are interested in the house, the text of the book makes it well worth the very reasonable purchase price. With many direct quotations taken from correspondence between architect and owner, the book traces the timeline of the project, the stops and starts in building, the inevitable obstacles in construction and the deep clashes between Wright and Kaufmann. Reading the book prior to a visit to the famous house would be a great preparation for a tour.

A great book for any FLW fan
I love what I've seen of Fallingwater (actually going there is on my bucket list), and this book is an essential item in the library of anyone who is a fan of the house or of FLW. The level of detail is fascinating (at least to me), and I can also see how many people would find a book about a house to be pretty boring. This wasn't that way for me.

Black and White
I wasn’t impressed with this boos due to the fact it only had blurry black and white pictures inside. I guess at $20 I can’t complain too much.
