The original supports on my '08 Miata were getting weak, so I purchased these. They appear to be well made, and they fit like a glove. The packaging was professional, and they even included good instructions (they are very easy to replace). They are quite strong, but I imagine (hope) they will loosen up after a while. These are an excellent value for the price.

Work as expected! Very strong shocks, so be careful when open and close. Otherwise it was perfectly fit, easy to install and the price is definitely right. A+

I needed to replace the trunk hydraulics for my mother’s Mazda Miata MX five 2010 I didn’t even have to pull out the screwdriver. I literally just popped the old hydraulic off the ball joint and pop this one in took less than three minutes. Would highly suggest if your trunk light is falling on you.

The product was exactly what I was needing. My old one's would close on my arm. These are working with no problem.

I was a little worried seeing reviews saying that these did not fit or were too short for some NC Miata owners. But this set was an exact fit for my 2008 MX-5 in Grand Touring trim with a soft top. The length of the new struts is maybe a few millimeters longer than the old ones, but that was likely to the old ones being almost completely worn out and not extending as far as they used to. Now the trunk opens quickly and stays at the full open position. Installation could not have been easier and took less than 5 minutes to swap out the old ones for the new.

If your trunk lid is starting to smash your head or fingers, it's amazing how pleased you'll be after installing these. They just work well and save you a LOT of aggravation. (A little WD-40 helps with removal of old units.)They initially seemed to spring up a little too aggressively, but after a month they've settled into perfection, or maybe I've just gotten used to them. I'm very pleased with this purchase. Significantly cheaper than Moss and LOTS cheaper than Mazda factory.

Price and quality

These work great! Be sure to buy the correct ones though, as the soft top and PRHT models use slightly different length trunk struts. I have a soft top NC miata and accidentally ordered the the PRHT version and they were about 3/4 of an inch too long. I ordered the soft top version, and they work perfectly!
