Everyone buying this product, be careful about its Mobile App
I bought the camera directly from Goluk. I downloaded Goluk App. The range of permission the App requested is alarming. We have to install the Goluk App to use this dash cam. Whoever using this dash cam, I would highly recommend installing a firewall on your phone to stop Goluk from accessing the internet.I managed to log down the websites / IP addresses the Goluk App is trying to connect to (see the screen shot). Pretty much all the IP addresses are in China. There are 50+ different IP addresses the app is trying to connect to. The app is clever enough to try different new addresses when the old ones are blocked. I wonder, what on earth an dash cam app needs to connect to so many sites on the internet???Also, please checked the App's Privacy Policy. In section (7), it states that we have to agree to the followings:- You give us permission to use your name, profile picture, content, and information in connection with commercial, sponsored, or related content (such as brand you like) served or enhanced by us. This means, for example, that you permit a business or other entity to pay us to display your name and/or profile picture with your content or information, without any compensation to you.

Good Enough
This is my first Dash Cam and I did some research. Did not want to spend too much money just in case that I find it not useful. I did buy a Goluk Suction Cup Mount and a Goluk Power Bank/Charging holder along with this dash cam.If you are thinking of getting a Goluk, get a T3 instead of T2. T2 uses batteries and T3 uses capacitors. These capacitors would only hold charge for a few seconds but it is enough to power down the Goluk properly. Capacitor works in higher temperature and it is long lasting. The software is actually not that bad. I used a regular phone power bank to power it when first setting it up. Connecting to the dash cam was a bit difficult at first but after it was connected to my android phone (running marshmallow) it seems to connect my phone without too much trouble. The trick is when you are connecting at home, remember to unlink your phone to your home Wi-Fi. My home Wi-Fi signal is stronger the dash cam signal. May be that was the reason, that I have problem connecting to the dash cam.Installation was simple. I use the suction cup mount. Since I have multiple cars, I thought I might have a need to move the dash cam from time to time. The mount is larger than I expected but it is secure. When installed, I cannot see it behind my mirror at all so I guess it is not too large.Routing the wire was easier than expected. I tucked it under the headliner, ran down the A pillar and under the glove box (using 3 adhesive clips). Then tucked the wire along the console. The next part is a challenge until I figured out a way. The wire to the cigarette lighter plug is too long and I have excessive wiring. What I did was to double the wire back and forth and tuck it along the console. I takes a little trial and error and I have the exact length of wire to the cigarette lighter plug.I was thinking of hard wiring this dash cam later but my set up now is acceptable and does not look too bad. There is an additional advantage with this present setup. If I hardwire the dash cam, I have a choice of always on or only on when the car is being driven. With the present setup, I can just power the dash cam with a power bank and placed it under floor mat when parked. I have quite a few these power banks for my cell phones. When I go out for a long day, I would take one with me anyway.I swapped the 16GB micro card with a SanDisk 64GB one. There is no issue with this card. The Goluk app allows the cell phone to view the dash cam in real time while recording. There is a slight lag between what is display and the dash cam and the image is not as smooth sometimes. I do wish there is an easier way to download the video from the Goluk to my computer. Popping in and out of the micro card seems to be the only way at the moment. Be careful when popping out the card as the spring is quite strong. You could lose that card. The video quality is acceptable but there is some reflection of my dashboard when facing the sun. It is not the fault of the dash cam though. One thing that I have not figure it out is every video clip (3 minutes) had a jpg along with it. They showed up in the files and on my phone. I had to delete that on my phone. May be there is a setting that I can choose not to have this picture stored on my phone.I have not tried out the power bank/holder. This holder is compatible with GoPro accessories. So, this dash cam can be used as a cheap GoPro. Overall, I am happy with this dash cam.UpdateI discovered a small bug with the software after a few days of use. Since the audio is weak, I turned it off using the app to reduce the size of the video files. This caused the video not able to be played on Quick Time Player. It could be still played using VLC player. One of the reasons that I choose this Goluk is that it records in MP4 which is MacBook friendly. The problem went away as soon as I turned the audio back on.

Decent cam but the Mfg nuked this puppy.
Had this dashcam for 4 months now. At first I was happy with it and everything worked as it should except for the live preview, that just never worked. Wifi was spotty at best and sometimes you would have to connect 3-4 times before you could download a clip. I firmly believe the Wifi chip/antenna/radio is just a very generic, basic POS.The app, oh man the app is just bad and combined w/ the sporadic connection issues makes it almost unusable. The app has a big push toward being a social network. I get it, targeted toward the foreign market but there is too much push in that direction. On the camera side of things, the app is not bad, actually decent but it did have too many drops (at first) from my device). Now things have changed, at least on the iOS side of things. The last update has pushed the wifi to unusable levels, in fact it doesn't connect at all. Tired on both an iphone 7 & X. I even went as far as resetting the network settings on both devices. I did a full reset on the camera using the reset button. Same result every time. It sees and connects to the camera as far as the settings go but the app doesn't see the connection or doesn't acknowledged the handshake needed. I've even tried it in an area w/o Wifi. No luck and using an android device didn't work neither. Someone here mentioned using it w/o bluetooth... BT is fully off in my phone settings (not the CC), cars BT is disabled, smart watch is off. No difference w/ all my BT devices switched off.I can't even change the settings on the camera now w/o a connection. Now it is doing its annoying beeps and initial first time guild every time I turn on the car. I am to the point now that I can't return it so I am shopping for a new camera. I really enjoyed the low profile nature of the camera and the quality was/is great (both build and recording wise) but since the Mfg dropped the ball on this software/device it is almost like having a borked unit.Don't get me wrong, it hasn't stopped recording and I can always pull the card and see the videos on my tablet/PC but it almost defeats the purpose. Currently stuck w/ what ever settings are default on the camera, can't change/update/view or stream via the app or mess w/ the settings. I can't even give the damn thing away b/c the app is just garbage.I am forced to get another cam that is properly useful. I put my faith in these foreign makers (which I don't mind doing for a good product) but this time it came back and bit me in the azz.Come om Goluk, its been nearly two months now w/ this update and you haven't even addressed the issues at all. Based off the app reviews in the app store, the support page on your site and random internet reviews, it seems that I am far from alone...

Camera shoots great video during the day and a night
Camera shoots great video during the day and a night. I also like the automatic parking feature. But the app is terrible. It will continuously drop the wifi connection with my Iphone7. I have updated the firmware twice and been in contact with Goluk for support. Support is also slow, only through email and not on local US time.
