I was a little apprehensive purchasing this butter bell because I was not accustomed to keeping butter out of the refrigerator 24/7. Well now that I've had it for a few months I can say that I totally LOVE it! It is so nice to have fresh spreadable butter at my fingertips. It does take a little dedication to clean and set the butter into the bell but it's worth it. I never had any issues with the butter falling out and I change the water every day or two. I definitely recommend it.

ha ha a little humor. all jokes aside, this is a great little butter crock. At first I didn't understand how it could keep butter fresh until I see the butter stands in the water. Works great. butter stays soft and ready to use. great purchase and would recommend to anyone who uses butter frequently.

My partner and I love this butter bell! We purchased one for ourselves over a year ago and have purchased 2 or 3 for relatives since then. The design is very minimal and plain. It does not look cheap, which was a concern we had when we purchased it. It has a very 'country kitchen' type feel to it. The size is perfect for us as it does not take up too much counter space and holds enough butter for at least 5-6 days. We are a small household of 2 however. I could imagine that in a much larger household refilling this frequently could become quite a chore. The butter keeps really well in the crock and only falls into the water when it is really warm inside (27 Celsius+). We have never had a problem with the very small amount of water on the top of the butter but thought this might be worth mentioning. The only other butter bells we noticed on the market were those offered by Le Creuset and we are so happy we went with this instead. The design is just much more subtle and the color much more muted. There is a really good chance we will purchase these for more friends and family in the future!
