Seems well made, quite spacious. Our cat is adult female, not huge, she weighs 3.8 kg. She can lie down comfortably in it even when the extension is closed. Our cat loves all kinds of bags and backpacks, so she went in it as soon as we received the backpack. The backpack is quite big, but comfortable to wear with straps across your chest and waist. My daughter is using it to take the cat outside and she is 12 and slim, has narrow shoulders, she finds it fits her well. Our cat is ok to be outside on a leash, but too scared if we carry her in our arms outside, especially in new places. Today my daughter took her out in this bag for the first time, and the cat wasn't scared.The bag has a big entrance with a zip on the front and another on top. The extension has back entrance with zip as well. Two side pockets are good size for storing accessories/snacks. We have a leash with a big platic handle (the ones usually used for dogs), and it fits in the side pocket. Overall very happy with the purchase 😊.Edit: Just a warning, after using this bag for a few weeks. All zips have buckles apart from the bottom zip. The bottom opened by itself (not because the cat opened it, just from the weight of the cat, and our cat is rather small). This happened near a busy road on a trip to the vet, and our cat panicked and tried to run away, we were lucky we managed to catch her quickly. Now this zip is secured with a cable tie. Other than that happy with the bag, would still recommend, just be aware of this potential risk and secure the bottom zip.

The pull down section which effectively turns it into a carrier is very handy for in the car to give her more space.My needy cat doesn't like being left alone at home so I bought this so I could take her out with me. Turns out she doesn't like it as much as I thought she would but I reckon it's just because not only is the bag new to her, but also going outside.The clips on the zip prevent her from being able to open it herself and get out - that's a fabulous design, very clever indeed.Wee pockets at the side enable me to carry some treats with me to reward her.I must say I love it, and I'm sure sage will too when she gets used to it I'm sure 😁

Great value for money. Used this to take my kitten to London and back, the extendable back is great gives more room for them to lay down. Strong mesh.

After days of research we decided to spend a bit more and purchased this backpack. It’s amazing. Sturdy, well made, the cats love it! Comfortable for hiking too. Definitely ordering another one so we can take both cats on adventures!

I purchased this backpack for when we take our Chihuahua places. I liked that it had several vents for breathability. I like that it pops out in the back to provide a little extra space and a “run”when needed. It does have a softer bottom, but I always put in a blanket for extra durability and comfort for my dog since when they stand up in the backpack, your animal may feel a little unstable due to the flexible bottom. But it does come with a piece of thicker padded cardboard material to provide some sturdiness. It took a little bit for my dog to get used to it but once she was in there, she settled right down and enjoys being able to look around while I carry her into stores and places on my back. I also like the fact that she is all enclosed so nobody is reaching out, trying to touch her since she has a shy dog.

I get scared every time the backpack closes up so I haven't tried being carried in it yet, but hopefully we can try it soon!
