Foraging the Mountain West: Gourmet Edible Plants, Mushrooms, and Meat

Loved this book! I have been studying herbalism for a few years and needed some help when we go on hikes to identify certain plants. We got the book and took it with us and identified 13 different edible plants! Such a fun experience to teach your kids the way people found food for thousands of years. If you live in the west it’s a must have for preparedness IMO.

A lot to learn from this book

This was the best book on foraging I have ever purchased. Tons of color photos, detailed plant descriptions, descriptions of potentially poison look a likes and recipes or preparation instructions. You definitely should buy this book

Bought this for my parents for Christmas and it is amazing! It had great pictures and tells you a lot about the plant and the different ways it can be used. They even include recipes which is so useful! Highly recommend

This is an excellent reference and I pack it along on every foraging foray. If you could only have a single book for foraging (in this region) this would be the one I'd choose.
