I saw this little guy on Instagram so I knew I had to scoop him up for my soon to be talking 9 month old. He has been mimicking sounds recently, so I thought this would be perfect to encourage him during tummy play. Anyways. It’s works like a charm. He enjoys the talk back function. There is also an option to record sounds (or messages) and a button for the cactus to light up and play preprogrammed songs. I would never have chosen these songs for a toy geared at children (and babies) but it is what it is. I gave it a 4 star review because the eyes are not teething friendly. The first day he had it, he immediately put its face into his mouth and chewed off part of the painted eye. Other than keeping it out of reach (so he doesn’t eat more paint off of the thing) it has held up pretty well. My 3.5 year old has absolutely thrashed this thing and it keeps working without any glitches or hiccups. So it’s cute, it’s fun, and it encourages little ones to make noises/speak to it!

2 of my grandkids aged 4 and 6 loved that it repeated what they said! This is especially awesome because they both have speech issues so we have been able to use this as one of our "speech therapy" tools. I have to admit the adults thought it was pretty fun too. Especially nice that it is totally a stuffed toy so nothing to hurt them and so far, they haven't hurt it!

My youngest child is 15, so I didn’t buy this as a kids toy, I bought it for a ME toy! I love it so much that I record greetings for my friends and send it to them. No I’m not crazy (much), just easily amused. Mine worked perfect out of the box, volume was great and adjustable. Easy to figure out.

I loved my cactus and so did my kiddos! My daughter who is 5 months liked it and my son who is two couldn't stop holding it so far it's holding up great just after my son took the stickers off it was hard to remember what botton was for what ! Don't forget Batteries it take AA

I gave this to my 6 month old grandson and he got a kick out of this. It really does repeat what you say and the volume control is definitely a plus.
