Will this tag pair and work with the old loc8tor credit card receiver?

I don't know as my old loc8ter failed and I had to get the new style loc8ter and tags. I will say I liked the old style better.

Question 2

I purchased this product and didnt realize i had to purchase a loc8tor handheld. is it possible to by only the handheld w/o the extra homing tabs?

I don't know but I've never seen it for sale by itself.  The tags do occasionally stop working so it wouldn't be a bad idea to have extras.  You can put one on things other than your pet too.  Keys, purse or even TV remote.

Question 3

Does this work with any loc8tor?  mine came with two homing tabs, but i would like to get a couple more to work with the same loc8tor.

This is the expansion you seek. No problems pairing this tracker to the other kit with  the loc8tor homing device.  The homing device has two extra open frequencies for precisely one or two of these expansion tabs.

How do you replace the battery in the black homing device?

Long story with a good ending - The odds of getting a new battery in with the cover and seal properly installed is slim to none. After purchasing 100s of these brain-dead designed tabs and having them constantly  die out after two or 3 battery changes I finally got Loc8tor to fix the issue. First I tried to get them to copy the "Tiles" much smarter tab design. Check out the Tile finder on Amazon. You can replace the battery with a blindfold on. After 10 years of complaining to Loc8tos arrogant staff and deaf ears, I realized they really didn't have it in them to design a normal tab with a normal battery compartment that a normal person is capable of replacing the battery. Seriously try and replace the battery just once. Ha ha ha ha
