Grab These Great Battery Terminals While Ya Can!
I use lots of solar power stuff and also put together solar power systems. When I first saw these terminals, I was slightly hesitant to buy them solely based on the fact that they are "named" marine battery terminals. I use mostly AGM deep cycle 105 AH batteries for my solar systems. So I read the all of the reviews. And I saw lots of people recommending these for use in their solar systems.I am very glad I bought them. They are perfect terminals for any and all 12 volt deep cycle batteries and Especially useful for specifically solar system batteries. I remember buying my first 2 pairs. About 5 years ago. Since then I think I have bought so many of these that I have lost count after my third dozen pairs. These work great! I love the butterfly nuts. They can be well tightened by hand. Its so convenient. Be aware that the positive post is larger then the negative post ( both with butterfly nuts, red for positive, black for negative )Positive screw down needs a 3/8 inch ring terminal end. Negative post uses standard 5/16th inch ring terminals. These DO need to be maintained. They do need a quick brushing up every 2 months more or less to get rid of some slight oxidization. Takes a minute with a regular battery terminal brush and post cleaner. And yes, they are perfect for car batteries, solar batteries, marine batteries, etc. I highly recommend these.

Works great but I had a problem with Battery Tender
Product easily attached to the posts on my spare 12 volt car battery. I also bought http://www.amazon.com/NOCO-GC018-Socket-Eyelet-Terminal/dp/B00G8WLW2Y?ie=UTF8&redirect=true&ref_=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_2 and this worked great too. The wing nut connectors are different sizes in diameter. This is to make sure you don't make an incorrect connection. The eyelets on NOCO GC018 12V Plug Socket with Eyelet Terminal matched up with these terminals. However, I also bought a Battery Tender http://www.amazon.com/Battery-Tender-021-0123-Junior-Charger/dp/B000CITK8S?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00 but the eyelet terminals on the Battery Tender are both of the same internal diameter (the smaller size) so they could not connect to these wing nut bolts. I think this is a Battery Tender problem not a Shoreline problem. The Shoreline product appears well made and the insulation on the wing nuts is heavily coated onto the nuts. I would buy this again.

Works (almost) for my Toyota Camry's battery
Quite heavy. Let's call this thing marine terminal, and it has positive (red) and negative (black) type. The positive is slightly bigger than the negative, both in terms of the hole part and the bolt part. The hole part fit my car battery, but unfortunately the bolt part of the positive terminal is too big for my Camry battery cable end. Thus, I ended up went to buy another generic marine terminal to replace the positive terminal, and it worked fine. I filed for return but Amazon refunded me and let me keep the item. I give it 4 stars, as it solves my problem, almost. Check if your battery cable end has equal size small hole to hold bolts for both the positive and negative terminals. If yes, then it is better to get a generic Marine terminal instead of this kit. Get this thing (or other generic Marine terminal) and change the battery terminal yourself. I was quoted by mechanic $60 just to change this battery terminal, but actually it only costs you few minutes to change it, with the right tool. I borrow tool (to loosen the nut) from neighbor and change it myself. Very simple to install, do it yourself! You can find the installation video from youtube.

These worked well and seem like good quality.
These are a great way to use ring terminals on your cables instead of a top post clamp. I was using marine batteries because I like crimping my own cables and using a nut to secure them. Top post ends always corrode bad and stretch out. I found out that an auto battery is much better for cranking an engine than even a marine cranking battery, so I used and auto battery and these adapters. I can still unscrew the wing nuts to take the cables off when needed.

Good quality, bad Amazon recommendation.
I bought this product because Amazon recommended it for my 2011 Toyota Camry. The quality seems to be good, but there’s an issue. It doesn’t fit with original Toyota battery cables. The hole in the cables is too small to fit over the bolt on the positive terminal. That being the case, my only option was to use a file to widen the hole on my cables.

Works well and the price is right
I purchased these and am very happy with them. I originally purchased them to be able to use an auto battery with an outdoor power equipment project where the cables to the battery just had ring terminals at the end. Just as would happen if this were a boat project, my options were:1) Get new battery cables with regular battery terminals at the ends2) Get a new marine battery with marine terminals3) Get these adaptersObviously, I chose option #3, which turned out to be an even better choice than I had expected. The adapters do exactly what you would expect - adapt regular battery terminals to accept marine-style ring terminated cables. What I didn't expect was how easy it would be to use. Unlike many dedicated marine batteries, these come with great plastic-coated and color-coded wing nuts on the studs, which make them easy to use even when it's cold and wet outside. With regular marine batteries, they often have hex nuts on the studs requiring a wrench or socket to install and remove -- with these adapters, the cables can be attached and removed bare-handed, no tools required. Not only would I buy these again, I will probably use them with the starting battery in my next marine project as well because of the nice features mentioned above.
