SEA EL SANTISIMO: A Manual for Misa Espiritual & Mediumship Development

If you are new to Caribbean Spiritism, this book is the perfect place to start. It goes on to explain not only how to set up your first boveda and how to use and maintain it, but why things are done the way they are done. The person that made a review of this book stating that 75% of it is prayers didn't mention that prayer is FUNDAMENTAL in Espiritismo and such a book needs to have prayers in them. Yes, you can find the prayers in the New Devotionary Spiritist Collection of Prayers from Allan Kardec, but all who own that book know how badly it was translated. It is FULL of grammatical errors and words that are misplaced or rarely used anymore in the english language. In this Book, Sea El Santisimo, the translation and prayers are concise and easy to read and use.As far as mediumship goes, the author goes on to explain that mediumship is a process that takes time to learn and develop. However, it doesn't go very much into detail on becoming a medium. It is a starter book on the subject and a great one at that. I highly recommend purchasing this book and 5 stars isn't enough imho.

This book is a must-have. As someone else said, the original Allan Kardec book is full of errors and the small print and layout make it difficult to use. This book gives the basic details on how to set up an ancestral altar and begin working with it. Full of prayers? Yes it is, because that’s how you work your altar! You can also talk to your ancestors but prayer for yourself and them is the foundation. There is a lot of focus on Catholic saints and prayers; some people who prefer not to syncretize may skip over novenas to saints, etc, but those are not necessary. However if you have a Christian upbringing you may like those rituals as well (not to be done at your ancestral altar though) and to be honest, even as a practitioner of an ATR some basics like the Lord’s Prayer still work for me because they are powerful and because many of my ancestors used that faith and I honor and respect that.

A great book for beginners.Anyone who is starting out in an African Traditional Religion that wants to know more about working with their bóveda, wants to understand the miss process more in depth or anyone who is looking for knowledge on espiritismo. This book is perfect.The prayer part is very well laid out and it even has prayers for other paths.I will be referring this book to others!

I have participated in spiritual masses for many years. As a non-hispanic, I waited many years for a manual in english describing the spiritual mass process. Many english speaking friends have wanting to participate in masses. Yet, they felt lost and isolated from the experience even though we tried to translate. I have already given this book away as a gift to a friend of mine. She loves it. All the members of our group want a copy as well. This is a wonderful book for anyone interested spiritual development.

What I like about the book is the way the actor explains the different religion in the back of the book and where they are practice and it explains the root of each baptisms. I also like the way he explains the different way you can set up your altal.

I absolutely recommend this book.. I am someone who is new to espiritisimo and I only speak English...at first I purchased Spanish prayer book in hopes to uncover there secrets with google translate.. yeah that didn't work out so well... I got the selected prayers book and it was so poorly translated to many words were misspelled an I didn't even understand the prayer let alone say it from my heart.. this book is perfect or at the very least perfect enough to start your spiritual path and mediumship development....to learn a ton more go to this blog....sansespiritisimo....it has a plethora of information...also find a misa blanca in your area...I am fortunate I am a Godchild of Sancista Brujo Luis...Good Luck..Much Love Light And Blessings...xoxoxo

Nice starter book. However I personally feel it's lacks a little bit. Has some very informative sections. I wish it had gone a little more in depth.
