Decent character shoe for Musical theatre
Runs about 1/2 size smaller than street shoe. I gathered that from the other reviews. 1/2 size up fit my daughter perfect. the toe box is nice and comfy. The heal is sturdy and wide for theatre dance. Perfect character shoes for musical theater. The sole is suede and great for dancing. We did have to add a hole to the strap, they are a bit tight for an 8 1/2. The look replicates the LaDuca shoe, minus the t-strap. Good for the price, would recommend for a novice. Probably not the best choice for professional theatre, but good for a teenager in 3-4 plays a year. the elastic built into the side of the shoe is great for toe pointing. Overall it's a good shoe.

Love themmm
Love these shoes. I am new to theater and needed some shows quickly. I was nervous about the width of a shoe and read reviews and decided to get a 1/2 size bigger. I am typically a 6.5/7 but got a 7.5. The shoes are a smidge on the smaller side, wish I had got an 8 because I won’t be able to wear any socks with them if needed. Other than that they are perfect! I do recommend.

Great shoe, small fit
I love the look of these shoes and the quality is amazing! I am normally a size 8 so i went to a 8.5 but they were still a tad too small

Definite pros and cons to these shoes
I ordered these because my box of dance shoes is in storage and I can't get to it! I wanted a relatively inexpensive pair to use, just for now.I am definitely NOT loving the raw, unfinished wood heel (pictured). There are, quite literally, visible nail holes. The wood looks flimsy like it will not last long. Cheap pine. Think popsicle stick wood. The flexibility of the shoe is good, and they otherwise seem relatively well-made. Overall, I'm happy with them (for the price), although the image is misleading. The front sole is genuine leather (suede), so that should hold up well. The toe is on the short side. It would be nice if it extended just a bit more up my foot. That would make this shoe feel more secure. The elastic on either side of the toe section is a plus.I plan on keeping them, as they will serve my (temporary) purpose. If you're the type that really works your shoes when you perform, I'd probably look elsewhere.

Very poorly made
My daughter has worn these shoes for (1) hour week for (2) months so 10x max and the shoes broke while she was dancing in them. The ankle strap broke on the shoe which cause the shoe to come off of her foot, luckily she was fine and escaped injury. Afterwards, I took a look at the shoe and realized that they straps are only hot glued to the shoe instead of being sewed. I realize you get what you pay for, just didn't want to have to purchase a more expensive shoe because my daughter is still growing and we purchase new shoes every year.

Good fit, good value
Ordered these for a senior musical theatre solo for my competitive dancer. She wore them straight out of the box for 3 hours last night to break them in through all her dance classes and they fit like a glove. I did order up a half size from her normal street shoe size. There was no gapping, or discomfort. She does have a narrow foot. Overall seems to be a great buy at $50 cheaper than the other character shoes we were considering.

Perfect dance shoe for Jazz. Love the flexibility for a demi pointe.
Great shoe with a perfect height. Really love the flexibility for a strong demi pointe. The first shoe I've found to allow high kick, turns, lunges and again, moving with ease into a demi pointe.
