definitely saved time by not having to run a hardwire remote. was staying in a marina as a transient and noted my remote turned on the light on the boat next to me, so keep that in mind. wish it came with a mountable cradle for the handheld remote , i used velcro to attach it to my electronics panel. the hand remote gives you freedom when maneuvering as opposed to having to reach down to a fixed pad.

Above expectations as to the quality of the unit. Had a faulty remote when received. Bought through a third party here on Amazon. Emailed Golight directly as to what I could do to get the remote replaced. With no questions asked, they overnighted a replacement. Installation is easy and looks great on the front of our pontoon. The 2070 comes with a handheld remote and a dash mounted waterproof one. They earned my future business and referrals.

Best investment for my boat! Waterproof, install was not difficult, rotate in all directions and throws out more light than expected during those after hours docking. Product as advertised! Remote response is dead on in all modes or positions. Although a little pricey.
