The first time my husband brought these home, I thought he was crazy. I told him that blisters need to be dried to heal. ...I was wrong. This gel that they have on these little patches is awesome. They stay on for a good long time when applied properly, and stay on at bedtime which is when I want it the most. **YOU HAVE TO PUT IT ON PROPERLY, THOUGH** --- no creams, no moisture, totally dry skin when you apply. I like to use 91% isopropyl to saturate the area (warning: it burns BAD...but also feels so gooood) - and after it's evaporated, I apply a patch and it stays VERY well - even on the curve of my lip. Scabbing is intensely reduced, healing time is sped WAY up, and you can cover these bad-boys in make up VERY carefully once it is on. My normal break-out site is on my lower lip near the corner of my mouth - and when I have creams or gels, it more often than not ends up spreading when I eat - or clumps up in the crevice when I eat. I hate it. This completely fixes that - as well as isolates the clusters in small spots so it doesn't spread anywhere else. (You can spread cold sores to your nose, eyes, and down below if you aren't careful-- just an FYI to anyone who didn't know). Instead of having to change my pillow case every day while I heal - I can use a towel instead and it doesn't brush against the sores and cause more pain. Itching, burning, that annoying pulse where you can feel your heartbeat when it's a REALLY bad break out? All taken care of with a simple patch. For men. I recommend trying to avoid as much hair as possible, as it will stick to it, and it will HURT when you pull it off. My husband had the worst time with his mustache trying to get the sticky off - but he still liked to use them for bedtime. Worth the price. Worth every penny when used correctly.

Is it a bit expensive? Yes. Is it worth it? HARD YES. I've had oral cold sores my literal entire life (only kiss babies on the top of the head, people!!!) and I don't mess around with them. I ALWAYS have Valtrex on hand, but sometimes I wake up with a stupid established sore and it's just awful. I have L-lysine cream, Abreva, etc. These patches are better. They are MAGICAL. First, the pain and itching stop immediately when I put one on. Second, they hide the sore. They are much thinner than acne patches and competing cold sore patches - truly almost invisible. And they blur enough that, even if someone notices the patch, they won't see what it's covering. Third, they start healing immediately - so much faster than anything else I've tried. The paches seem to start peeling when they've dehydrated the sore...in my experience, the bigger the sore, the quicker a patch will peel. I consider that a feature, not a bug - it means I know when it's time to change out the patch to keep the healing moving forward and I can literally see the reason-a big sore will have noticeably shrunk in 6 hours. Yes, please, to that! Fourth, the packaging is genius. The patches are individually packaged in self-contained small sterile pods (around the size of a quarter) that you can carry in a purse or pocket. One note of caution-on rare occasions a patch won't come off the backing, so always bring one more than you think you might need. I work in the type of highly professional field where I have canceled or rescheduled certain events rather than appear with an established cold sore. These patches have 100% solved that for me. They really are discrete. Cost-wise, I'd say it's about $2.00 per day (accounting for the occasional failed application and need to change them out) to heal a sore radically faster, no scab, no splitting skin, and truly hide the sore. Paired with Valtrex even larger sores are gone - GONE - in 4 to 5 days. Even if you can only afford to use them for the first day or two - do it. You will still save yourself days of healing and have a much smaller scab (I ran out once on vacation and it was still SO much better). This review is purely motivated by a desire to praise a product that exeeded my expectations in every way. These little patches are an absolute game changer. My son gets cold so is everyone once in awhile and now that he is a teenager it is embarrassing to get one and go to school. I saw that this product was available and it made it going to school with a cold sore so much less embarrassing for him easy application, it is a very small round patch, very effective and clears up the cold sore very quickly, isn't irritating he said it is comfortable to wear, has the texture of a small Band-Aid and adheres to his lip just like a regular Band-Aid would. Very cost-effective considering it is making him happy to not be embarrassed at school. I absolutely love this product and would highly recommend it to anybody that gets cold sores!

I had NO IDEA these little adhesive delights were a thing. I swear, Gen Alpha knows their stuff. My teenage daughter had me buy these things, and they work GREAT! The quality of them is fantastic, and they actually stick to the skin ALL DAY. Make sure tho that you don’t have any lotion on your face, because the adhesive won’t want to stick. It’s moisturizing and offer pain relief. We love them and will continue to buy them when we have cold sores. High recommend!!

i love that these cut down on the contagion factor. i have kids and get paranoid they are going to touch my blisters by accident. two issues- 1 i feel like you have to cut a small edge off in order for a section not to go into your mouth- get wet and therefore not stick. 2 it’s hard to get them off the applicator, i tend to push up a little bit at the bottom with my nail- to make it easier but then the patches are more obvious . becuase they have multiple issues I go through a whole box with just one cold blister. therefore not really a super great value. but really love that the blister is fully covered so i will continue to use!

Pro tip: Dont pull it off until its loose or loses clearness after 7+ hours, otherwise youre ripping off the healing scab. Thats on you, leave it alone its idiot proof, so dont be that person and complain because you keep picking at it. ANYWAY, I was honestly shocked how well these work, and how good they hide the breakout. It's already bad enough to get one, so its a game changer to hide and not feel awful for days. These cut down the healing time to about 5 days while giving discretion or spreading it to other areas. They stay on about 8 hours or unless you're eating and they get damp so you replace it. I replaced every 8+ hours or when they got loose, you can tell they are loose because they arent clear anymore. Do not pull them off until their ready to fall off on their own. Really the best thing that's ever come out, works better than any other product on the market hands down.

Bought these for that terrible cold sore break out. Especially on upper lips. They are so easy to put on, not like other ones where you have to peel off the backing. These ones, go on simple, and STAY on overnight. I've had them on, while drinking and it holds nicely. I've found that if you have trouble removing, just use a wet cotton ball and hold it on it. It will then peel off easily. It definitely helps heal the sore quicker too. When you remove, you can see yucky stuff on the round after removing. For sure try this, before suffering without.

Theses are the best patches to spread the sore from spreading to other areas. They are practically invisible so you don't feel like a fool going out in public. This product can be used past its best before date so you can store an extra box in your closet for a future outbreak.

Works really well! Took a few tries to figure out how to get it to stick well. But after that, it worked well

Stayed on through an hour long dentist appointment. Stays on for full work shifts (I change it during my break just to make myself feel better lol) stays on over night and it makes it look not as gnarly while I’m out and about! Make sure to put it on to DRY skin and it’ll stay on pretty well with minimal to no lifting, I haven’t had to take one off because of peeling or anything. 100% repurchasing to keep in my emergency cold sore kit.
