Failed after one session. Light-Duty device only!
The airbrush performed okay for my first session, which involved painting a primer coat in a set of miniatures.Concern #1. It was somewhat finicky at times. I found I had to pump the trigger a few times to re-start the flow of paint. Sometimes this caused a blob of paint to spurt as a result.I figured that it would take some time to work out the optimum thinness for the smoothest paint flow. I cannot say it was the brush’s fault.Concern #2. When the compressor shut off, I disconnected it, and noticed the metal fitting was very, very hot. Hot enough I could not maintain a hold there until it cooled a bit.Afterward I recharged the compressor.Starting my second session, suddenly it won’t turn off. It runs continuously, whether connected to the cable, the airbrush, or nothing at all. When I had tested it with water, it was fine. Using it with paint, it was awkward but not clearly a problem. Now, it has a problem. I’d say this device is useful for light duty touch-up use only and is not suited to steady use or hard use at all. What I liked:• portability is absolutely wonderful• quiet motor makes hardly any noise• large cups let you paint for a while• Cup covers let you operate the airbrush at almost any angle momentarily (no spills)• it has a simple trigger to spray, and a knob to adjust paint flowWhat I disliked:• Pressure may still be too weak. Vallejo primer is water-thin to start, but I found it hard to reach a steady flow with it.• Auto Shutoff failed after first session (critical failure)• No indication of charge level. No red/green LED, no beep, nothing. There is an LED hole, but mine is apparently not used for that purpose, unless it is for airflow instead. The manual does not say.• No way to reach the seller in the manual. No company name or contact. No web site. No apparent way to order spare cups, needles, or seals. What happens when I need those?Unless the next unit gets past a few sessions, this is Not Recommended. Two stars at the moment. There may be better applications, but modelmaking may not be one of them here. I will try one more unit.

EXCELLENT beginner airbrush kit
Back when I started airbrushing, I tried the button style and because of my arthritis, I ended up purchasing a Grex trigger airbrush. It is the best purchase I ever made as it is so much easier than pressing down with my finger joint half the time screaming in pain. Now, of course the Grex airbrush and compressor are my go-to rig, but this nice trigger airbrush kit is my back-up and I have been using it regularly. Say I mix up a custom color and want to see how it looks, I loaded in this airbrush and spray again against a similar surface that the color will be used. If the color looks good, so much the better - I can then load it in the Grex and spray away, but if the color needs tweaking, it's easier to do a "fast and dirty" clean on this little airbrush and then put the new color in for another test. Once I have the color right, it can go in the Grex. This is not a toy! It is a wonderful beginner airbrush kits that can get someone started on cake decorating, body art, etc.
