Making Medicine: Surprising Stories from the History of Drug Discovery

Remembering to not take for granted the gifts scientists have brought for us
This book is a mixture of stories about extraordinary people and the scientific process of their creation.People who spent their lives trying to solve a problem that was literally killing people, or solving a problem that would significantly improve a miserable person's life.Keith has done a great job writing in a way that he is not talking down to the reader on incredibly complex subjects. The subject of pharmaceuticals and medicines can be tricky and political, but Keith does a great job of putting it together with diligent research and accuracy.I would recommend this book to anybody that, like me, doesn't have an academic background in chemistry but is appreciative of the the history of our modern medical science.

This has been a interesting read. I recommend it.
From minerals to medicines Keith Veronese has put out another great book. Taking something that we take for granted, diving into the history and back story that got us to where we are. "Making Medicines" is a good read that will surprise you. Highly recommend.
