This cleaver was above my expectations. I have been searching for months for a strong and sturdy Meat Cleaver and so far this product checks all the boxes. Its much heavier than anticipated but that's exactly what I was looking for. I paid over $80 for name brand Meat Cleaver and quite honestly, I am reluctant to use it as I am fearful that it will bend the first time it hits a bone. I have confidence that this cleaver will devour all bones fresh or frozen and of all sizes. This product is honestly heavy enough and thick enough to use in a knife/axe throwing competition, it would be fun to throw this cleaver into a block of wood or a tree. The handle appears sturdy, however I noticed that some of the rivets are not uniform with the handle and stick out a little. However, overall I am quite satisfied with this product.

So easy to handle and chop while your knuckles are protected, plus the wrap around blade makes it so easy to do precision hand-held cuts in produce and/or seafood. I use it for everything from chopping through bone/frozen cuts of beef to paper thin/precision cut garnishes. It is also super quick and easy to wash, but I recommend doing so by hand so the wood handle doesn't potentially get warped.
