This unit is quite neat and works really well. It is very fast, and appears to be accurate. The backlight is very handy. I also appreciate that you must hold the power button for a couple seconds for it to turn on, yet a tap will turn it off. This means it is unlikely to accidentally turn on in my work bag. After turning it on though it will take perhaps 20 seconds for the humidity reading to stabilize. The only downside to this unit is that it will always default to Celsius (perhaps the best solution is for the USA to finally switch to the metric system?).

This meter works extremely well, with accuracy for both humidity and temperature within the stated specs. I now use this meter, for example, to determine the best time for turning on my very large and powerful floor fan to blow outside air into the house at night to cool the place down. I check both inside and outside air temperature and humidity before turning on the fan. Since doing this, I get noticeably better results leading to indoor temperature-humidity comfort. I am extremely happy with this purchase and have recommended the RockyMars RT36 to friends and co-workers. I'm an Electronics Engineer by profession, and therefore accuracy is of utmost importance to me. This model pleases me greatly.

The device was highly inaccurate, which made it useless. As measured against three hydrometers/thermometers, when it was 75 degrees F, the Rocky Mars RT36 displayed 88 degrees F. The unit's humidity measurements constantly went up and down, when it was actually 52% relative humidity the Rocky Mars RT36 displayed a range from 44% to 78%. The unit appears to be well made, but as a measurement device it is junk.

It’s not 100% accurate takes a long time to level off once you turn it on, but will give you a good general idea of the temp.

I bought the RockyMar RT36 to measure both the temperature and humidity of my room. Since I have pretty bad allergies, I am extremely sensitive to changes in both temperature and humidity. Having this meter allows me to accurately measure the room and make changes by using AC and my humidifier. The device is extremely easy to use; it only has 4 buttons! It was also extremely easy to learn how to use the device, instructions being extremely clear. Overall, the price may be a bit higher than what I usually would pay for a temp and humidity meter, but I am glad I did because the quality of this definitely outshines all other products like it out in the market.

I have it 3 stars because their website has absolutely nothing on it and the email addresss on the package doesn’t exist (bounces back). The product is accurate and works but I hope I never have an issue with it since there is no way to contact RockyMars.net.

I wasn't here when we had a flooring company come into our home to access we could install Bamboo wood flooring in the kitchen and living room. They had one of these meters and took one look at our furniture that will have to be moved around to get the floor install and I guess didn't want to do it. This meter has a hold function on it so that you hold it at the floor level for a few seconds and hit the hold button, bring the meter back up so it can be easily read.This flooring company was a foreigner that you had a hard time understanding what he was saying. They won't guarantee the flooring unless the humidity level is 11% or less. They showed my wife a level of 94%. The only thing I can figure they did was to blow into the sensor tip, hit the hold button and pretend to be doing a reading on the carpeted floor in the living room. He told my wife they would not remove the linoleum kitchen floor, we had to do it. I had to move the gas stove and disconnect it as well as the refrigerator that is connected to a water line for the ice maker, not a real problem for me as I installed them. The furniture was going to be moved by me also, granted, we have a wooden TV entertainment center, anything with glass, they wouldn't touch. So he showed her the 94% bogus reading and walked out saying in broken English "No Guarantee, no guarantee"...I received this unit and the best I could get was 54%, the airconditioning was on, so you'd think it should be much lower but this is Louisville Ky, in the summertime. I played around with it trying to get the humidity up higher. The only way I could was to exhale into the tip as if I were going to clean my glasses. So yeah, I was a little peeved at this company and am searching for a different one.

Works well and fast. If you move between rooms with a large temperature difference you'll want to give it a minute or two to adjust for the most accurate reading. Gently waving it through the air to get fresh air on the sensor helps a bit. Helped me tune my thermostats and find the cold and hot spots in my upstairs to adjust registers.
