Love the idea of this
At first I was very skeptical about this as I didn't really believe that reusing food wrap once it had been used was hygienic, especially after an egg salad sandwich or something. This could not have been further from the truth though. It is really easy to clean and it feels like you are using a new piece every time, even though you are not. This is a nice sized roll and it will last a really long time.

Gut
Einer der Stücke war eine andere Farbe als im Bild, trotzdem schön. Es hat ein Geruch, funktioniert aber gut und bin ganz zufrieden. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Better than beeswax version but expensive and not for me
I understand the intent to reduce the usage of single use plastics and in this case, cling film, which is where this product comes in. This vegan (non beeswax) waxed wrap roll is an acceptable alternative to using cling film, which can be used to wrap foods and cover bowls to put in the fridge. Although i found them difficult to use as they are quite stiff, they need a bit of warming up with the hands which i am not always bothered or have time to do. They also left waxy residue on my bowls. One good thing to mention though is that I have found natural beeswax can leave odours on food, this vegan version doesn’t do that and is actually much better.Comes in a long and generous 1 meter roll which can be cut to size. To be fair this waxed cloth does work well and is nice quality however these wraps aren’t for me. I don’t really like the feel of them and they are just not the same once they have been used, even after cleaning. I also mainly use cling film for covering food for heating in the microwave but you cannot do that with these wraps so for me these aren’t a great substitute for cling film. If I wanted to reduce my cling film use for that purpose I could consider using microwaveable lids instead though. At £28.99 for this roll (at time of review) for me is too expensive. I haven’t been persuaded to make a full and permanent switch, instead I hope a more eco friendly type of cling film will become available instead, I haven’t found one yet. In the meantime, for food storage I think i’m safer sticking to reusable and washable tupperware instead.

Perfect vegan alternative to beeswax
I have a few different sized vegan wraps that see a lot of action so need a good re-waxing and this is ideal for the job. So many of these blocks tend to be be beeswax so it’s a relief to find ones that aren’t. Highly recommend!

Expensive with limited use for me
This is good quality, thick and strong but I don’t find it easy to use. You only get a small amount for the price which seems excessive when I assessed it’s limitations. What I like:It’s reusable and vegan - I’m not vegan but I do have an allergy to bee propolis so I avoid eating any bee products. You can buy the wax to extend the life of the wrap once the wax wears off.Absolutely love the pattern! It’s ideal for small portions/leftovers which I regularly have on a keto diet or for wrapping keto doughs for resting.I was able to cut it into 4 small pieces, ideal for a few keto pizza slices and keto blueberry loaf. It’s easy to hang on my dish dryer. What I don’t like:You can only wash this with cold water and it absorbs tomatoes and other natural food colours so the stains remain.I found it hard to warm in my hands (I have horrendous circulation so my hands are always cold) which makes it hard to get a seal. It’s very different to any other wrap and takes some effort to get it sealed properly. It’s too small an amount to make it economically viable as a full replacement for wrap and the most expensive eco alternative I’ve got.The instructions are inside the roll so you need to open it up fully to find them, I’d assumed mine were missing until I found them by accident. It doesn’t cut very well, I used sharp kitchen scissors and it still shredded a bit. It’s not suitable for freezing - after googling I discovered beeswax wrap is only suitable for short term freezing. It varies from a week to month depending on product and there’s no mention of this vegan one being suitable for freezing on it’s instructions.I pick up a slight taste when I use it for keto cakes in it, it’s not terrible and it’s not noticeable with spicy foods.I’d rather use reusable bags and wash them with hot water to be honest. There’s no denying this is good quality but it isn’t something I’d buy after trying it. I’ll stick to reusable bags which I can wash with hot water and use in the freezer too. I’ve had my sets for up to 2 years and they’re all still in great condition.
