6V TO 12V STARTER BUSHING, dune buggy vw baja bug

I converted my old beetle powered sandrail to 12 volts this is the bushing i needed to run a 12 volt starter on my old 6volt transaxle. Who would have guessed there were different sizes but after shredding multiple starter bushings i learned that this one was my problem solver. Thanks Jeff

Perfect fit for my case and starter

I bought a transmission case cut-off to use as a starter adapter for an engine test rig. It was an old 6v transmission case so the standard 12v bushing was too small so I ordered this product. Fits fine. I push started it into the hole with my fingers and drove it the rest of the way with a wooden dowel. Be sure to grease up the bushing (inside) before you mount the starter. If you are using it on a 12v engine you have to clearance the case to make room for the 12v flywheel.

Works if you are installing a 67 or later 12 volt starter in a 66 or older transaxle (you have to also clearance the housing for the larger flywheel)
