Asics GT-2000 has done it again!!!
I've owned the version 8 and 9 of the GT-2000 and these 10's are by far the lightest to wear for either running (road running NOT trail running) or long-distance walking. For someone who has over-pronated feet (flat feet) these are the perfect pair of walking/running shoes to own.The Asics GT-2000's are similar to an extent the Asics Kayano's with 3 main differences in my opinion...One, I've found the GT-2000's to be lighter than the Kayano's which makes it a great daily training/running/walking sneakers. Two, the GT-2000's are not really meant for long-distance running unlike the Kayano's. The reason for this is due to the difference in the forefoot design and support. Kayano's have a firmer forefoot which gives it that slight edge as a better long-distance running shoe. It also helps that Kayano's have a more plush upper material for more breathability and comfort. GT-2000's have a softer forefoot which leads to a smoother ride and feel. This to me is what makes GT-2000's great long-distance walking shoes or daily walking shoes and trainers. They too have great breathability and comfort as well but I Kayano's definitely have the slighter edge on this matter.Three, price point... Kayano's will always be pricier than GT-2000's even when Asics put them on sale. Kayano's are typically between $20-$50 more expensive than GT-2000's.Overall, the GT-2000 10 version is a really great and versatile pair of shoes that provides great support, comfort and durability.

Decent shoe for short to middle length runs (5 to 15k)
I've put about 80 miles on these shoes since getting them, so I think I can write a review.Pros. - This is the first running shoe I've had with Gel in it and it was an interesting experience for the first 20 or so miles. The squishy gel did a fairly good job of absorbing the impact as I grew accustomed to the weight, feel and proper foot strike for these shoes. The tread pattern was also a bit more aggressive than my previous road-running shoes and allowed for easier transitions between road and dirt (less initial slipping).Cons. - The shoe is heavy. Not sure exactly the weight in oz (9.8 i think or so) but it feels heavier than most of my most recent shoes. The gel, as mentioned in the pros, is nice to begin with but at around the 50 mile mark... I really don't notice it anymore although it could be that i've adjusted my foot strike so i no long require the extra cushion at the heel. I wear a wide foot, but this shoe does not feel wide. After 10k i notice my little toes were a bit squeezed and sore, which supports other reviews that indicate this shoe a bit on the narrow side, likely due to the construction. On the construction, this is a warm shoe with an overbuilt and patted upper. This is most pronounced around the heel that is intended to stop heel slippage, but only manages to put pressure on my heel at the beginning of a run (though it is soft and after a few miles, I don't notice it). Lastly, the sole has a nice tread pattern but is wearing out very quickly. Conclusion: Overall, i would say this is a good short to middle distance run shoe or just a standard athletic shoe. I am also glad i bought this at a low price on amazon, otherwise i would be disappointed.

Nice shoe. But, sizing...
I got this shoe on the basis of Asics' reputation-recommended by healthcare experts. It is well-made and comfortable. However, I ordered my usual size based on the reviews which overwhelmingly indicated that they "fit as expected". They did not. Gathering by the shortfall in the length, I took a shot and re-ordered one whole size larger. That turned out to be correct fitting. I'm sure this comes as no surprise to most out there. Standardization of shoe and other apparel sizing seems to be a complete crap shoot these days.

True to size and very comfy!
All my running shoes are New Balance, and while light, they don't seem to jive much with my feet. These Asics really feel more comfortable to me and allow me to control my feet better when jogging.

Ran my first 12k in these
The shoes I planned to use failed two weeks before my first race. Ordered these and was nervous about running that far in new shoes. Had about a week to break them in. They worked great. The gel cushion needed a little time to form to my foot but by race day they felt good. Very supportive and my lower back pain was reduced compared to what I had been using. Very pleased.

The best I've tried
I stand for 6 hours straight at work, I'm 40 and my feet kill me for that. I can barely do anything afterwards. I tried all types of footwear from as many brands that said were the best for my situation but nothing helped. I did some research and this shoe was on very high regard and even though I had never tried the brand before I gave it a chance and man was I happy. This is the best shoe for your feet no matter how much you stand or walk, they are very comfy and light also very simplistic in it's design for all the good job they do, I mean compared to other brands that are all showy and flashy about what they got and can do. Don't hesitate on it and just buy them, give it a try and like me you'll be forever changed.

Asics. G2000.
Comfy. Good fit on wide width size. Breathable. Would of liked slightly more arch support that the with Mizuno Wave runners has, though just might be how this sneaker is designed. Just got this week so no feedback yet on long term durability. Delierved on time.

Love these shoes.
Comfortable, easy to slip on, great support and shock absorption. They take a lot of stress out of walking around.
