Zanyzap 12 Pack of Foam Filter Pads for Fluval FX4 / FX5 / FX6

Doing the same job the actual name brand does. Fit in the fx6 with no problems.

Filters work really well in my FX4 canister.

Took a long time to get the item which was frustrating. But I’m happy with the product.

Maybe it was a contaminated batch I received but the chemical smell was overwhelming and still present after thoroughly rinsing the sponges a good ten times. Against my better judgement I installed them into my fluval fx and completed the rest of my routine as usual. My sea stars were dead by morning. Sadly I had to watch my brown powder tang ( he was my buddy) die a horrible death that took two days. Same with my common clown. Snail and crab died along with 5 zoa frags I had for only a short time but were doing fantastically. I am devastated by this horrific event. Please don’t use if the product has a chemical smell to it. I’m so depressed looking at my almost lifeless tank I adore and cared for meticulously. I’m out of work due to a brain tumor and my young son with cancer so I can’t even replace any of our little creatures we loved so much. Heartbroken.

Thought I would save some money getting the generic instead of the actual fluval brand. Don't waste your money, spend the extra and get fluval. For whatever reason, this would just not trap debris the same as the fluval filter pads, and dirty water with large visible wast was being returned into the tank. If you have a FX6, buy the fluval brand replacements and just clean them well to make them last longer.
