I expected some summer fruits and watermelon, but unfortunately what I got was a strong perfume smell with just a hint of watermelon. I love the melon part of the fragrance, but the perfume was such an overwhelming fog that it started making me feel a little ill. The worst part is that the watermelon part washed off upon my first handwashing, but the perfume part clung to my skin through numerous scrubbing's and washings with four different types of soap throughout my evening. It finally came off in my shower the next morning. My husband and both children concurred with my feeling that the perfume part was way too strong. Before expressing my own opinion, I held out my hands to let them sniff and my son exclaimed about the watermelon smell, then wrinkled his nose and said but what's that other smell. Which was exactly how I was feeling. The cream itself is delightful, a thick whipped cloud that sunk in easily into my skin and was very effective. I'm giving this four stars because the base cream is great, and there are four fragrances so you may find one that is suited to your tastes. For me, this was an unfortunate miss.
