Pride of Szeged Steak Rub Seasoning Spice Mix, Shaker and Pour Top for Steaks Burgers and Beef, 5oz. Tin, 1-Count

I started using this seasoning when I was just learning to cook steak in high school. I have yet to find any other spice that comes close to the incredible flavor. It used to be available in my local Shoprite in NJ, but we've moved a few times and I've yet to find anywhere else that carries it. We use this both on steaks and for making burgers. Keep in mind that this seasoning is STRONG--my partner and I start sneezing the moment we open the tin. You may also want to give it a little shake before using, as the powdered part of the seasoning can sink to the bottom and leave mostly dried garlic and sesame seeds at the top. Seriously--if this seasoning is ever discontinued I might just give up beef.

This is a very good seasoning for steaks, chops, burgers or meatloaf. Just be mindful that it is salty so don't add extra salt. I also like that it's gluten free!

This steak seasoning is mild but adds a nice flavor to your beef. I use it on skirt steak, and it accents the cut really well. It also works well on ribeyes and strip steaks. I use this when I want to add some flavor without it overwhelming the natural flavors of the beef. It is definitely worth the price. The container lasts a while, and I get quite a few meals out of it. Will buy it again. I would recommend this to others to try. Friends ask what the seasoning is when I cook for them and I am quick to tell them about this seasoning.

This is my favorite steak seasoning by far. I literally don’t like steak without it. Loyal customer for years. So why three stars? They’ve gone cheap on the container in the last year or so and the lid has a recurring defect. I never had problems opening the container or keeping the lid on throughout the years, but the last several containers I’ve bought, the lid pops off and never goes back on, and the pour variation lids do not come off no matter what I do, without popping off the entire lid. It’s so annoying. I have no idea what changed but I can hardly stand it. I just dumped an entire container on my steak because of this recurring defect, and it was the last straw and why I wrote this review. They’ve got to fix this, it’s not minor.

Love this stuff! Favourite steak spice! The cap/lid is a bit hard to open, but otherwise it's ok.

IGA has this product for more than half the cost...don't be an idiot like me and check your local stores...great rub btw!
