Great for Civil Air Patrol
I bought these boots for my son for Civil Air Patrol and they work great. Take a bit of time to break in but after that they are really comfortable to. They are great for drill and for any other Civil Air Patrol/Jrotc uses. Would recommend.

Works great, fit as I knew they would
Works great, fit as I knew they would. I wore a pair of these daily for several years. I recommend going to a surplus store to try on a couple different pairs of them to figure out exactly which size works for you. The size 11 boots fit as I expected.

Cheap boots are cheap.
These boots don't come in half-sizes so they were too big for me, and they've already developed massive cracks on the toe area after only a few weeks of use. Still, they were cheap and kept my feet dry. Not the worst thing ever, but these are definitely throw-away boots. . . the boot equivalent of a paperback book when compared to a hardcover (which in this case would be a reliable brand like Bates).

Got rid of them and bought hiking shoes
Nice boots for slopping around in the mudd but too light for hiking in my opinion. I bought an 11 because a 12 was too big (I wear a 12.5 wide) and found they were a little tight. I did up to a 20 mile hike in these (had them for a few years) and ended up just spending the extra money on a pair of hiking shoes. They shed water very well but if you have to carry any kind of weight you'll probably want to spend extra and get something better. Keep in mind that if you want to save money on gear your shoes should be the last place you skimp out on.
