I bought this item on August 5, 2018 but just had an occasion to use it for the first ti,e today. The principal of how it works sounded great and I like nice consistent slices. But it was a total disaster. You would have to use something similr to a razor blade to pass through the tines without damaging them . I searched and finally found a sharp knife I could use but it is very flimsy and does not stand up under the slightest pressure. It did not appear damaged when I received it and has not been damaged since but the tines did not line up well at all. Sorry I wasted 10 dollars on this item.

Makes it easy to slice even slices. I do not use all of the slices at once. I slice a few slices then use a zip lock bag for the rest of the tomato until I need more slices.

Prongs aren’t very sturdy.

Works okay for slicing vegetables and fruits but it would be better if the tines on the slicer were stronger, I feel that this isn’t going to hold up long term.

What a simple and easy way to cut tomato slices that are the perfect thickness for a burger. It isn't perfect, but for the price...I am loving it! Easy to use, easy to clean. Using a really sharp knife makes cutting a tomato super easy and safe. Didn't think about it until now, but I suppose you could slice just about anything...orange, lemon, etc

This is not made very well. When slicing a tomato, if the tomato is not really small, the knife can't cut through the whole tomato, which leaves it still together on either the top or bottom, depending on which way you are using the holder. The tines are not very sturdy and it is very hard to correctly align the knife blade through the opposite tine. If you use this device where you slicing through the top, when the knife hits the bottom the blade is rubbing against the metal and is dulling the blade.

Works great, I used egg slicer for years to slice beets for freezing, but the last beets were too firm and broke the egg slicer. I ordered this slicer and with next batch of beets I used this and was great. I have since used for tomatos and worked fine. Haven't used for lemons yet. I highly recommend and easy to clean.

I’m clumsy and I’m always cutting my fingers so I thought this might be help me stop injuring myself. The tongs don’t actually open wide enough and it’s difficult to find a knife that fits in the slots. If you knife is not sharp enough it just squishes the tomato. It’s not made of a great quality product
