Great (peace of mind) backup after "a scare" with my aging oven. When preparing a meal; the last thing I have extra time for is not having the cooking function of a range top oven.

Good little hot plate. Heats up quickly. Make my meals on it everyday. It does take quite sometime to cool down completely, so do not touch burner or set anything on it for at least 10 minutes after you turn it off. I have had no issues with it and would recommend. Easy to clean. Quite and seemingly well built.

I actually jist recieved this so I havent yet used it to give an honest opinion, after opening the box it does look like a quality hot plate, I plan to use it tonight so hoping all works well

I had a smooth top stove where the top cracked and since I'm moving soon and replacing all the appliances when I put the home for sale, opted for this as a temporary solution. I like the metal burners versus glass since I just had a smooth top crack. The unit heats up and boils water pretty fast, maybe faster then my stove used to! I also like the handles which is why I bought this instead of a cheaper unit. My only negative is there is not power switch so I caught myself leaving it on because when it reaches temperature the light goes off, but its actually still on. This could potentially be a safety issue if left on all night, I would think. You have to unplug it from the wall to be sure to turn it off or remember to turn it all the way down. I have a griddle that has a red led/green led light and no light when it is off, with this unit the light doesn't change color it just turns off when its at temperature meaning it could still be on. 4 stars. I didn't see anyone else comment on that but I think either a changing color light when its on or a power switch is a feature worth having.

Ordered this when anticipating an ice storm in my area. Planned to use this with my generator for cooking if power was lost. Received next day. Warmed up quickly with just a little "smell" as described in instructions. Having two burners will make preparing food much easier when in a pinch. Boil time was the same as on my home stove. Didn't need this time but I feel confident that it will meet my needs. I like the two handles that make it easy to carry. Definitely recommend this!

I've been using this stove top for a while now and find it to be a relatively simple way of cooking, seeing my stove suddenly stopped working. The main problem is that the smaller burner has a much lower output of heat than the larger one, which really limits its usefulness. Also, around the burners a layer of something (?) burns onto the platform where the burners are located and it is impossible to remove it.
