Any reason to get the 1/2" if the 3/8" is just as powerful, other than having mostly 1/2" sockets?

I IMAGINE that more power is lost going from 3/8" to 1/2" using an adapter when needed, than is lost when going from 1/2" to 3/8" using an adapter. I ordered my 1/2" and an adapter at the same time. That was my thinking.

Does this come with batteries and charger?

It all depends on how you order it. I went online and found one at Home Depot that came with a case and two spare batteries + charger for $271.41 including tax.

why in the product description says 2555-20 instead of 2555-22 and not show the bag as in the picture?

-20 means bare tool -22 means kit (inclusive of batteries, charger and bag)
