I see that a previous answer to this question advised the smaller size for the same height and weight measurements. I think that the explanation for this difference lies in the fact that I am bottom-heavy ☹️ and I am guessing that the person who answered previously was either top-heavy or normally-proportioned. So you might want to keep this in mind when you decide which size to order. I normally wear a size 16W in pants, if that is helpful. Also, I don’t like my leggings really tight so that could also be a factor in your choice of sizes. In answer to your second question, I don’t believe there is any compression in the thighs, although that would have been a very nice feature. Does anyone make leggings that offer thigh compression?
