Melissa & Doug Flex Octopus Outdoor Chair

I chose this chair for my one and half year old grandson after reading every review out there for the other chairs. I picked this one as I felt that the fabric that runs down the front of the chair would help the little guy get into the chair without getting hung up and also keep his little legs comfortable from any cutting front seams. This company also has other matching themed items as flashlights and gardening tools which I have also purchased . One thing though to pay attention to which is both good and pain is that it has a Safety Lock on the chair to keep it from closing up on the little ones. If someone is not aware of it, in their frustration in not being able to close it up might break the chair . When I gave it as a gift I made sure I made a big warning sign to the parents to look for the lock and release to close. Lets see now if they remember about it when they take it camping. :)

We had one for 7 years and while the bag tore the chair lasted forever- we only had to get a new one because it was wet when put away and left in a damp garage where everything molds (this chair included). Our daughter could sit in it at age 9- though while it held her weight it was uncomfortable. The cup holders are too small to hold a kids water-bottle but it's easy for kids to get in and out of and perfect for the younger ages. I do wish it came with a carry strap rather then a handle because with young kids your hands are already full when going anywhere.

I wanted a camping chair for my dog and I thought the design was Too cute. He likes his new chair. I assume this chair is good for a toddler.

The kids (from 3 to 10 yo) argue over who gets this chair they love it so much. Cute and same great quality as can usually be expected from M&D. One thing to note, there is a safety lock feature which keeps it from closing up on a child but also makes it so kids (around my home at least) can't fold it up themselves when we're putting it away. It's cute & sturdy so I'm ok with this.

I have a 2.5 year old, and he wants to be like mama and dada at the pool in a chair, but can't really climb up in our "big" chairs yet, so this is perfect for him. He's even able to help carry it when we go to the pool, b/c it comes with a carrying case with a handle. Easy to unfold and fold (just make sure you press in the little "lock buttons" on the underneath of the chair as you're folding it up. The design is cute too - my kid calls it his "octo chair!"
