Akebono EURO ULTRA PREM BPS (EUR1561) , GREY

This is my 2nd set of brake pads on the 2011 X3 35i. I used them with Zimmermann zinc coated rotors. This rotor/pad combination seem to last forever until the rotors warped after 70000km. There is practically no brake dust and zero brake squeal whether its hot or cold. I tried Centric posi-quiet semi metallic pads for about 800km and gave up due to loud squealing when the brakes warmed up, so I'm back to Akebono again.Brake performance - less initial bite but it is really more linear as opposed to the original BMW pads. If you slam the brakes hard enough, ABS will still activate.

I use these brake pads for all my BMW's I have had, I still have, and will be using Akebono pads for my next cars in the future. I found that Akebobo EUR1561 along with Zimmerman break disks make it just a great douet that lasts for more than a hundred thousand miles (I'm not an aggressive driver). These are my favorite so far. The thing is you got to get used to them and understand how they work. They do not have the initial bite, but encrese the braking grip when get warmer (the opposite to the cheap and dusty break pads).

Virtually no brake dust. Wife is impressed. So am i..after 3.5 years the pads barely are worn . The backing vibration plate has wear causing a squeal in reverse and a click. Awesome on 2013 bmw x3

They stop my car, so that's great. Not mushy feeling and very quiet. I don't notice a difference in performance between these and the stock pads, but my rims should stay a lot cleaner.

Should have done some research before my purchase. These are good pads, but there are better out there for a few dollars more.

I have been using the brand for many years on my bmws and Nissan quest and never been disappointed. excellent product, almost no brake dust at all on my wheels. save lost of work and cleaning them and it look good.

I replaced my 2013 X3 BMW front OEM pads with these pads.Pros: - very low dust compared to OEM pads - but this is expected feature. - quiet, no squealing. But I have never encountered noisy brake pads of other manufactures so far.Cons: - lack of initial bite. Still not used to it, it takes some work to stop car predictably. - Uneven braking. As if they skip through braking event as if rotors are glazed (but they are not). - Worst of all, they are VERY harsh on the OEM rotors - ate about 1/16" of metal in only 10000 miles (!). I have never seen this behavior with other brake pads.I had high hopes for Akebono pads given extensive reviews, but so far they do not live to my expectations. I am still searching for a better option though.
