Much better than fly tape!
These window traps are the best invention ever! They work like fly tape, in that there is a sticky surface. What I like better about them is you can put it out of the way in a window (if you have a blind or curtain you can even put it out of sight) and unlike fly tape its not hanging in the way of things you DONT want stuck to it. There is just a thin strip of adhesive on the window side so it sticks tight without doing damage to the window. Sometimes it takes a while to catch the first fly but once there is one fly it seems to attract others and its game on.This catches Box Elder bugs too although it is best to bait it by sticking a boxelder to it and it will then attract more. I even put one on the outside of a window for that purpose and it was very effective.Since I don't like to use sprays and especially in the kitchen, these are a great way to control flies indoors. My fly swatter is retired thanks to these

Keeps my house fly-free and work for fruit flies and any other flying insect!
My son originally found these at a local hardware store, but when we went back to get them again, they weren't there. So, I found them on Amazon. These are just the best fly catchers!

Worked well
Liked ease of use, but my kitchen has no windows. Could I suspend them with string from a light fixture?

5 stars, but not the best for the fruit flies
I checked different traps for the fruit flies, I had in my kitchen, and found out that these three works best:1. The best from the best was my portable Dyson vacuum cleaner V11 at the extreme power mode. With this vacuum I could suck 30 fruit flies in a couple of minutes.2. The second place it took my own invented trap. I used a food transparent plastic bag, you can find in most food stores like Safeway or Giant. I put there banana skins, cherry pits and left it opened in the kitchen. In a couple of days I found a lot of fruit flies in the bag. You need just close it quickly, tie it, and trash it.3. These sticky fly traps took the third place. The pictures, I attached, show these fly traps on the wall of my kitchen after several months of using them. The fruit flies are very smart creatures and most of the traps on the market do not work for them.
