I do not think this is the genuine Neals Yard product. It wasn’t in the Neals Yard blue bottle, has very little scent (what there is, is not very pleasant) and doesn’t lather up properly. Expensive mistake. Don’t buy! Go to Neals Yard for the real product.

It was £40.39 at the time of review.When you first look at the price tag, it seems expensive but thinks about the quality and ingredients on making it, you will figure out where the money goes to. First of all, they use high-quality organic essential oil and extracts, other ingredients to make the shower gel are also organic. Things that tag with organic are normally priced a bit higher as their making process and ingredients are different from retail mass productions. My skin is very sensitive and allergic to some chemicals that are commonly used in cosmetic, therefore, I tend to use either baby formula or those organic ones which are meant to be as natural as possible. I have been a long-term user of Neal's yard products and am happy to have a chance to try out this economical size. This is about 20% cheaper compared to the normal retail size (200ml) they are selling in the market. This 950ml size is good enough for me to use for 5-6 months alone. I like the smell of it and find it relaxing after using it. My skin didn't feel irritated after showering. You can purchase a pump from their show so that it is easier to pump out instead of holding this large bottle to pour every single wash. For me, I re-use some plastic bottle with pump, cleanse it and pour the big bottle to fill it and use. This makes my life easier.

The shower gel arrived safely, and it comes packed inside a plain brown box.Unfortunately, even with a Neal’s Yard fan in the house none of the family thought this shower gel was anything special and certainly not worth the price.Although most of us like the scent, the shower gel is rather poor quality and we all agreed you get barely any lather from it which makes it difficult to spread round your body. The fragrance is wonderful and surrounds you with a fresh orangey scent while showering, but quickly fades away once your dry.The shower gel isn’t advertised as being a refill, so we are a little disappointed you get a budget looking and feeling plastic bottle with no dispenser. For this kind of money, a glass bottle would have been much more appropriate, everyone I have asked thinks the shower gel is no more than £10 for the bottle which isn’t great if you’re gifting it to someone.Overall, we honestly wouldn’t buy this shower gel if it was less than half the price, in our opinion you can get better quality shower gels/cream for only a few quid that work much better and give decent amounts of lather. Other Neal’s products are fantastic but this one just isn’t worth the money; I struggle to recommend this product and I think three stars is generous for it.

This is such an expensive product, even when purchased through Amazon’s ‘Subscribe and Save’ program. I don’t think it is worth the expense because you can get similar quantities at a cheaper price. At this price, I’d hope it would offer the elixir of life!The large bottle is large and the clear plastic means you can see how much is remaining and it is easier to recycle. However, the screw top cap is inconvenient; I would prefer a flip top, especially considering the size and weight of the bottle. Furthermore, the plastic of the bottle is quite flexible, meaning it is difficult to negotiate in the shower.I think the scent is lovely and refreshing and would appeal to both males and females. Not much is needed and it lathers well. This bottle will last a while. After using, my skin felt soft and I could just about still smell the shower gel.In conclusion, whilst this is a nice product, I don’t think the price justifies it. Furthermore, I don’t think much thought has been put into the packaging. For me, I am going to have to decant it into smaller bottles because at this size, it is not manageable in the shower.

I’ve known the Neal’s Yard brand for a long time now, but never actually tried any of their products. However I’ve seen many of their products and this looks a bit out of place.It’s a large 950ml bottle with a screw top. This bottle is enough for a large family months and months, but it’s not the best quality. The bottle doesn’t shout for luxury, what the price is suggesting. At the time of my purchase it was £46 for almost a little shower gel, what non branded items, you could get the same amount for £3-4. So was expecting high end product to match the price.However I don’t like the screw top. Almost all their product have a pump on the bottle. Why they didn’t put on this one as well? It’s a large bottle to lift while you are in the shower, also hard to control how much you pour out.The scent is also not the best. I can smell the orange and another scent (which is Geranium I guess) when opening the bottle, but it goes away as soon as I wash my hands. Can’t smell anything afterwards. Also doesn’t foam and lather too well neither.Needless to say, this was my first and last experience with this brand, which is a shame.
