My WeighIBalance 5500 Table Top Precision Scale

Bottoms of numbers cut off...not new like I wanted.
Ordered this for some work I’m doing because a previous scale is not quite accurate enough. The minute I plugged in and weighed a few things, I noticed the bottom of the display is cutting off numbers, making it unreliable. Not happy.I immediately called Amazon because it says it’s the fastest way for exchanges. The guy said 3 X that he needed to look at his options for exchanging. No. I told him there was only one option...SEND A NEW ONE. I believe they sent me a used item when I should have received brand new for $216.We will see about the next one. I’ll review again once received.>>review addition. Exchange received. <<The second exchange Scale, same model, is functioning well so far. The first few pictures are of the first, supposedly “new” one Amazon sent me. It WAS NOT NEW. AS YOU CAN SEE, the bottoms of the numbers got cut off, creating confusion about actual reading. The second 3 photos show what a new scale reading should look like. The numbers are clear and the digital read out is functioning properly...so far. I want to just state a warning...Amazon is too big right now, though we are all getting addicted. Let’s not let them go unchecked. While the delivery times are pretty good, especially with UPS under siege, I’m worried they are sending used products under the label of “new” and may be legally allowed under some certain law of timing or something. I’m suspicious. Please check all your things immediately, as I did, because when I spoke to the Amazon customer service Rep, he tried several times to suggest he had to investigate several options other than immediate exchange. If I did not have a strong personally, life experience and adamant redial to trust his trickery, I would now be stuck with a used, malfunctioning piece of equipment for $216! Hopefully this model will last for years to come and assist my success in business. I of course have still been ordering from Amazon as a Prime Member, but I’m being vigilant now.

Misprogrammed. Poor Quality Control during manufacturing.
This scale arrived with a programing issue. It was advertised as being able to read a tenth of a gram (0.1g). It was programmed incorrectly. When I placed a 200 g weight on the scale it read it as 12.9 g and 200 gr. Gr is grains, and is read by the scale without a decimal. 200 grains = 12.9598 g. So basically the scale had the units and display switched for these two entirely different units of measurement. Completely unimpressed with the Quality Control and Assurance on this product. I would not recommend anything they manufactured.
