Picture, at least right now, is of the frosted bulb not the clear
(Wrong picture, at least as I write this. The clear daylight you can see the individual LEDs easily. See some of the other similar clear bulbs from this vendor.)I have two dual circline fixtures in my kitchen. Each takes an 8" and a 12". I first bought one set in frosted cool white. At the time, they didn't have the clear daylight. At least for me, I don't like warm white, cool white is acceptable, daylight is best. So I liked the original 8"/12" cool white set I bought. But now I bought daylight for the second set and I like it even better. The 8" lights up in less than 1/4 second -- almost instant, but not quite. For some reason, the 12" takes over half a second. But, given that the smaller one comes on basically instant, it doesn't bother me that the larger one takes a bit longer.I had a bit of trouble understanding the wiring instructions. Personally, I think the connector to the bulb really should come hard-wired already to the ballast. Its not, you have to connect it, and it is not clear from the instructions. But, basically one pair of those 4 pin connector goes positive, the other pair goes to the negative. If you hook it up backwards, it doesn't hurt anything, just doesn't light. So if it doesn't come on, just reverse it.And, as another poster posted, the price is so expensive that it really is hard to justify. Except that it will save me time in the future not having to replace the bulbs for years. Hopefully.
