Dirty Dozen (A J.J. Graves Mystery Book 12)

This 12th book in the series has Jack and Jaye fighting Mother Nature as well as a serial killer. The action moves quickly and this is a quick read you won’t want to put down. I recommend reading the books in order. Even though the story stands alone there are things mentioned in this book that will be spoilers if you have not read the previous books first, some of them BIG spoilers. There are also references to characters and things that won’t have nearly the impact they should if you don’t know the background.The action is of the caliber we’ve come to expect in this series. What I really appreciate from Hart’s story construction in the JJ Graves mysteries is that I feel like I am reading about real people. The MCs are not caricatures, nor are the secondary characters. The action is realistic as are the actions by the protagonists. I like that the secondary characters play important roles in propelling the story arc and that they get some of the good lines.The one thing that I hate is that we are left at the end with a tantalizing bit of information hinting at storylines to come and now it’s five months until the next book (which I have already pre-ordered) comes out and I’m impatient!!

JJ Graves coroner of King George County Virginia and her husband Jack Lawson Sheriff of King George County now have Doug, the nephew of Jack's best friend Ben Carver living with them. This is a series to really understand all that takes place in the area of Bloody Mary you must start with book 1. Can't believe its book 12 and murder is going strong. This story is about a killer who moves from an actress, two young couple at a movie theater and takes on the characters of serial killers, Jack the Ripper, Son of Sam, BTK. There are three side stories JJ and Jack talking about having children, Doug assisting with the investigation and Cole an officer under Jack and his relationship with Lily assistant to JJ. A great series and a real page turner.

Ms. Hart does it again. This is another well-written murder mystery with plenty of suspects and bodies. She adeptly had JJ and Jack putting together the pieces of the puzzle so they caught the criminal in the end. As always, there was plenty of witty banter as well as great character development as the series grows. There's also a great lead-in to the next book. Highly recommended.

I absolutely loved reading Liliana Hart’s newest JJ Graves book, Dirty Dozen. This is one of the most amazing series I’ve ever read. Never a dull moment with JJ and Jack at the helm of an murder investigation. Can’t wait for the next book, I’m a little concerned for Ben Carver but I know Jaye and Jack will save the day

this was another excellent book by Juliana I could not stop reading it until I was finished it I can not wait for her next book to come out I highly recommend this book to everyone Dorothy Schaefer (sorry I pressed the wrong letter it should be liliana and not with a j ) please read this book you will love it

Really love all of the books in this particular series. The mysteries usually keep you guessing till the end, but since the books aren't long, you don't have to wait to find out who the killer is. Now I just have to wait for the next book in the series! That's the hard part!

I loved this book! We get to see more of Doug. There’s a lot going on. Lots of twists and turns. A lot of friendships going deeper. I’m really looking forward to the next book and whatever trouble Carver has gotten himself into.

Another great story for J.J. and Jack to bring to the end. Killers and actors, or actors that want to be killers for fame? And what will be next? The stories keep coming and you have to read them. J.J and Jack will win if they are together.

If you like fun but still serious murder mysteries, go with the J J Graves books. I don't know where Liliana Hart comes up with her plots, characters and details but they are all 3d, intricate and believable if a bit outlandish in places. Not as mad as Addison Holmes etc, but not as virtuous or dull as Scarpetta has become. Each story fits with the series arcs, but has a great, fresh idea at the centre, not read a bad one yet. My only criticism, and it's a complement really, is that I stay up all night reading them and then wish they'd lasted longer!

When a copycat serial killer starts killing just 10 hours apart Mac and JJ have to move fast to catch him.The story was a great concept and I enjoyed reading it.The reason for to only three stars is because I worked who was the killer half of the way through. I kept hoping that the rather obvious clues were red herrings and there would be surprising twist towards the end. Unfortunately this was not the case and it left me feeling a little disappointed.

I just love reading these books they are fantastic. Cannot wait for the new release. Hope you will do a series on Ben carver which also has Jack an Jaye in it as well

I really enjoy this series of books and can't wait for the next edition. The story lines are excellent and really hold your attention.
