POUR IT!!
I got this as a solution to messy cooking and baking incidents.this will turn any mixing bowl into a "pour spout" type of bowl. really handy.the built in strainer can be remove when used with thicker batters or ones with chips or candies in the instance of cake/cupcake batter.washes up in the top rack of a diswasher, or can be washed very quickly by hand.the only down side is if the bowl you are using has a heavy "lip" (as some of our older pyrex wear does) it may not work well. all of our other mixing bowls have shown no problems with this being used.a good addition to any kitchen tool collection.

Does NOT work at all!!! Do not buy this item!!!
I have never left a negative review for an item in my life, but because I feel this item is a complete waste of money and the customer service is terrible, I felt I needed to warn others not to be misled by this seemingly wonderful product idea like I was. I saw this spout on another website and went to Amazon to see if it was on sale there because I had high hopes for it. I used this spout shorting after receiving it in November, and was not happy with it at all. But I decided that maybe it was just the way I was using it or what I was using it for and I wanted to give it a real chance and use it some more for multiple things before I made a decision to return it. I have used it for straining grease from many pans of burger, sausage, and bacon...a use it is supposedly designed for. I have used it to strain other foods such as canned fruit. I have used it to pour batter into muffin tins...the main reason I decided to buy this item. It does not work AT ALL. The burger is too heavy and pushes the spout off the pan and/or falls out of the pan to the sides of the spout....I always have lost food to the sink because of this spout. The batter also pushes the spout off the container....it is too heavy and the spout does not have enough strength to stay attached to the container. It is a good concept.....but I am sorry to say it really does not work at all as described and is a very poorly designed product. I am someone who typically loves to give items a good review.....but after contacting the seller to ask if I could return the product after 60 days of giving it every chance I could to work, they refused to bend on their 30 day return policy by sending me a short and curt email in reply with no reference to the above problems that I described in detail to them. Then after telling them I was sorry to hear that and I was going to leave a negative review for their product, they offered me a whopping 15% refund on the product saying that per "Amazon policy" that is all they could do....which I know for a fact not to be true because I personally know a company who sells a product on Amazon. Customer service to me is essential to a company's success, and this company has a poor product and poor customer service. Very disappointing. Don't make the same mistake I did!

Loved it at first and now not so much.
This spout worked great at first but now it doesn't stay flush with the pan and liquid pours out the side of the pan and not the spout. I originally gave this 5 stars and now I've just thrown it away. I don't know if it was because of being put in the dishwasher but it just doesn't work like it did anymore.

an OK item
I found myself not as sold on this item as I thought I would be. It sounds really good - hook it on a pan and easy pour. However, if you aren't careful when pouring, it pops off the pan and negates your efforts. I know I need to take it slower when using it but often find it's just not worth the bother.

Very helpful, but not perfect.
I've only used it once, but this worked pretty well with draining spaghetti. I didn't have any leakage, but wasn't able to fully drain all the water off without spaghetti falling out on the sides. It did drain most of it with some juggling to hold back the spaghetti from the sides. It would be perfect if it covered up the sides and top in a semi-circle. But still, I'm glad I bought it as it works better than anything else I've used.

So handy!
I'd had my eye on this spout for quite awhile but didn't buy it because I'd read so many bad reviews. Finally it was on sale so I went for it. I'm sorry I waited so long. This thing is so handy! It's so nice to not have to dig out and dirty the whole big colander any time I need to pour the water out of anything.Yes, if you don't put it on quite right, it doesn't seal. But that's just user error. It's easy enough to adjust. I've used it on several different sized pots and it's worked great on them. Even my husband, who usually scoffs at my kitchen gadgets, admits that this is a good one and he uses it all the time as well.

Not Worth Buying
I often cook small vegetables in a sauce pan and a strainer is a good thing to have. This silicone strainer with pouring spout looks like a good idea, but it has too many problems. The silicone rubber is thinner than it looks in the photos. The spout is held onto the pouring shield by two thin silicone tubes. You have to cut holes in the spout to attach it to pegs in the shield when in use. The shield is small and doesn't work well with high-volume pots. The shield didn't clasp reliably to my pots with rolled rims suitable for pouring. The item is cheaply made and isn't worth more than $1. I tried to contact the seller, louanne brown, to discuss a refund without success. Finally, I was able to obtain a refund with Amazon's A-to-Z guarantee. I still have the item but will never use it, and I don't recommend that anyone buy it. I purchased a different item, the SNAP n STRAIN Pan Strainer, that works fine. It was also less expensive.

Waste of money
I bought this thinking it was such a neat idea, and I use a strainer pretty much every time I cook so it would save me some time and dirty dishes. It would be awesome if it actually worked! But when you put it on the pan to pour anything out, your food will go out with the oil/water because it's not big enough you to be able to tilt it the way you need to. So it ends up being useless because everything you want to strain out, stays in the pan. I tried it for a couple of different meals and it didn't work out. Maybe I'll just start using it for pouring cake batter and baking.
