Wonderfully made and fantastic pretend play
We bought the three bears and this. We love them both. Want to buy the three pigs set one day soon too bc now we love that story. :)These are very well designed and illustrated. My child has spent hours playing with these. She is focused and makes the voices for the characters. Often I read the books included while she plays. She will finish the sentences. Now she has learned to put them together as well. Our set from two years ago even after LOTS of use is still functioning very well.We bring the little characters with us sometimes on the road. And she will play with them at a restaurant or in car. These are great sets. Totally awesome gift idea as well. Most people we know haven’t heard about them till they see ours.Fantastic alternative to screen time. :)Can’t wait to order the three pigs set soon.

Love this beautifully decorated well furnished little home!
I love gifting this to all my kid friends and I've bought several over the last few years across their entire line.Pros:- Artwork is beautiful! I love all the little details like the tiny mail slot, the library of books, family photos, etc. It's a well furnished little home.- Comes with it's own carrying case! All the little pieces fit inside the sturdy box and you can store this toy on a bookshelf. Super helpful especially when toy storage is always an issue.- Does not require electricity and is NOT a screen! I love how engaging this toy is. The artwork is so detailed and whimsical, there are always more surprises to discover.Tradeoffs:- This Goldilocks toy is one of the more complicated ones to put together since it's a two story house. You might need to help a 3 year old in the beginning, but they usually get the hang of it. I would recommend The Three Little Pigs Toy House and Storybook Playset toy house for younger kids since the three houses are each one story and smaller.- It's super fun to have all the little pieces and bowls of porridge and little beds! It can be a lot of pieces to keep together. I recommend keeping the sturdy box it comes in for storage.I love this entire line of toys. Some of the other fairy tale houses are fun for younger kids like The Three Little Pigs Toy House and Storybook Playset. They also have super cute little play sets at a lower price point. My favorite is the Old Fashioned Sweet Shop Playset. Sure wish the Sweet Shop existed in real life!

Durable, great quality, and so imaginative!
My kids love this toy. For those wondering about materials - it's made with a very strong, sturdy sort of foam, not wood. This stuff can take some serious abuse - we've had one of the other Storytime houses for two years and it still looks like new.The house itself is also very sturdy once it's put together. My kids have dropped it off the table onto the floor and it held up fine. What I love about it is that it's a beautiful dollhouse for the kids to enjoy--the artwork is really gorgeous--but packs up so easily so it's not constantly taking up space in the house. Heck, we can even bring it with us over to friends' houses for them to have something to play with while they're there.I also found it easy to put together - it takes me about thirty seconds to set it up. I'm sure older children (mine are 1.5 and 4) would be able to do it themselves without any trouble.I don't know if it's the artwork, or the fun of putting it all together, but this house just really seems to engage my daughter's imagination. She'll use other toys of hers in there along the with the ones that came with the package, make up whole stories about what everyone is doing in there... just the kind of imaginative, inventive play you want to see your child engaging in (and that seems to be harder and harder to come by these day).Overall, I highly recommend it!

Encourages imagination, creativity and love of books!
I purchased this for my 3-year-old and she loves putting the house together and telling her own expanded version of the story using the pieces. The pieces themselves are very sturdy and really pretty to look at. I think this product encourages imagination and creativity and takes kids away from modern-day devices. Packaged really well.

Cute but confusing instructions
It’s cute, pretty well-made (the foam is thick and dense so it seems like it will hold up to my crazy 5 year old), the printing on the paper covering is high quality. The only negative is the instructions and a couple weird details that don’t make sense. It seems as though the model and pieces were updated (simplified) at some point and the instructions were not updated to reflect this. There’s also one area that there’s a piece that’s no longer a part of the set, but now there are just cats and treasures floating on the ceiling instead of “on a shelf”.You wouldn’t think this would be too terribly difficult to put together for an adult, and it really wasn’t once I stopped paying attention to the instructions. The instructions definitely showed pieces that aren’t included anymore, different shapes than the ones that are included, and connecting to things that just don’t exist, but once I was able to put things together that the instructions were bad vs pieces being misplaced, it went much easier and the kiddo is happy, which is really all that matters!
