Over 20 years ago I bought the "traditional" (Foundation for Inner Peace) edition of ACIM. I have attempted to read it many times over the years and always failed because of the difficult language, lack of practical real-world examples, and unexplained principles which only left me feeling confused.Earlier this year I heard about this new edition - unlike the FIP version which was edited many times with each edit based on only the previous version, this was taken DIRECTLY from Helen Schucman's handwritten notes and edited with great care and attention for a world which is quite different to the one when the FIP edition was published. I downloaded the Kindle edition, and after reading the first few chapters, along with the detailed footnotes and 'cameo' essays (in the back of the book), it all suddenly started to make sense. It became a practical everyday guide, rather than an unintelligible intellectual exercise. In short, it changed everything. I ordered the hardback within a few days and have used it every day since. The reading schedule is superb, breaking the Text, along with the relevant cameo essays, into daily manageable sections (over 365 days) which guide you through the curriculum as it was intended. I really appreciate how much love and effort has gone into this edition, which I believe was over a decade in the making.There is also a podcast which accompanies this edition - [edited to update name] Exploring A Course in Miracle, and is hosted by Emily Bennington and Robert Perry (the lead editor of this edition). It's a fantastic resource for any student of the Course, and is based on this edition and a range of incredible articles by Robert and the Circle of Atonement. I love this edition, which I only found out about recently, it has the full text based on Helen's handwritten notes; the text in this book is often easier to understand without Helen's quite zealous editing that she did later, plus there are topics included which she completely edited out. Therevare also some fascinating articles included. This is now my go-to edition but it is a big book and not portable.

The bottom of each page notes, further explanations and frequent biblical verse references and much more make this complete and annotated edition in paperback the go to version of A Course in Miracles for me. It is about a third larger than the standard Course and I think is quite nice for a paperback. Obviously reminiscent of a study bible it has thin but good quality pages but with decent sized text and a textured and gold lettered cover. Another £10 or so more than the standard edition of the Course for this 2021 paperback but well worth it I would say having swapped halfway through from the regular version. The on page text notes and biblical verse references etc definitely adds clarity and makes the Course much easier to work through the daily lessons in the Workbook than the regular edition. Also includes 33 cameo essays and additional material.

I love the book and all is fine with the content.The packaging it came in wasn't very good. I live in the UK and the parcel came from the United States. There was very little padding and it is a pretty heavy book...so the corners are a bit dented, which is sad.Maybe it would be possible to make the packaging a bit more padded, or wrap the book in a more sturdy piece of cardboard.

Over the years, I read many spiritual books from great and well-known teachers, but this book here, ACIM, is the most precious and most healing book ever. I can't even find the right words to say how unique, how deeply precious, how great this book is. This book will transform, restore and heal you on all levels of your being, this is sure !! While reading and studying this book, you will find an inner peace that is beyond what word can describe. If you asked yourself what your life purpose is, this book will answer that question and all other questions too :-)

I'm not going to go into the content of the book as you more than likely know what it's about if you are contemplating buying it.... I do recomend it though, its truly life changing!The book itself is large, chunky, and very heavy so not the easiest to hold for long periods. The cover is vynyl over thin card and seems like it would last well.The paper is exactly like bible book paper, very thin, smooth, and crinkly so is easily marked. It is line matched so you can't really see the writing on the other side of the page, which is good. The paper does take a highlighter pen and doesn't bleed through to the other side, although you can just about detect it from the other side.It isn't smith sewn, the paper is just glued into the spine so I don't know how well this will hold out, and as there are nearly 2000 pages in this book I'm sure it will take a lot of reading, and re reading to get through it.Overall it is a nice book and I would recomend, but it is floppy even with the cover so a hardback may have been a better choice.

I have to echo everyone's praises about this book. First of all I'd like to state that I purchased the Foundation for inner peace (FIP) version of this book a few years ago and was intrigued with the teachings and sensed a certain purity to them. However, like others, I found many of the concepts too complex and gradually lost interest. In any case, I was recently browsing through some of my books and was drawn again to ACIM. After looking at amazon reviews, I discovered there was a more complete edition based on Helen's original notes (FIP version was heavily edited) . While this edition is considerably longer than the FIP, I believe it more than makes up for it in its clarity and quality of content.
