We originally bought this to help dry our clothes faster because some of the more thick items of clothing were getting the dreaded damp smell because they were taking too long to dry. Now, we have a fairly open plan downstairs so wasn't expecting miracles but we duly set it up in our kitchen, and have been stunned to find that not only does it reduce the drying time by about 12 hours, but it has also stopped our upstairs windows fogging up overnight in cold nights. We both suffer from asthma and have noticed that our symptoms have also improved, absolutely marvellous! The house even feels warmer and I believe that's because drier air retains heat better than damp air. This thing will pay for itself over winter with the current energy costs. We are so impressed we are thinking of moving this upstairs and buying a larger one to do the laundry shift in the kitchen, because my only niggle is that the 2L reservoir is filling up in 5 hours or less when we are drying clothes and running it in laundry mode. The machine is too effective for a 2L reservoir! I haven't used it in a bedroom but the night mode seems quiet enough to sleep with and certainly quieter than your average fan in the summer which we are very used to. What incredible value for money, I recommend this 1000000% you will not regret it.

I’ve been using this dehumidifier for almost a month now, and so far, I really like it. While I can’t speak to its long-term durability just yet, it has been performing well. I bought the 12-litre model, which has a 2-litre water tank. On some days, it extracts the full 2 litres of water, as you can see in the video. When you turn it on, the dehumidifier displays the current humidity level on the screen. You can set your desired humidity level, and it will automatically start extracting water to reach that target. There’s also a night mode, which makes the fan run more quietly—perfect for when you’re sleeping. Emptying the water tank is really simple. I can do it easily with one hand, as shown in the video. If the tank fills up, the dehumidifier stops running, and a red light on the screen alerts you that it’s time to empty it. Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend it.

This is a tidy little unit and so far it is working well. I owned two meaco units in the past and one lasted a few years while the other one packed in after about a year so thought I would try a different make this time. The only thing I can fault so far is that the water tank is a bit on the small side which means it needs emptying more often than units with larger tanks however that isn’t a huge problem I suppose - more an inconvenience. To give an example of how quickly it will reduce the humidity - the higher the humidity, the better/faster it will work. It will reduce a humidity level of 66% down to 60% in about half an hour. Like all dehumidifiers it will struggle when you are trying to get below 50% - it will manage it but it will take longer which is completely normal.One thing that anybody who has no experience of using dehumidifiers needs to be aware of - If moisture is entering the home because it’s raining outside, etc and you run the unit it will sure reduce the % however when you switch it off the % unfortunately goes back up rather quickly. Again, this is normal and a consequence of living in places like the UK where it rains constantly. You always have the option of setting it at required humidity level and let it run constantly and it will switch itself off when the required level is reached and then back on again when it starts to creep up again. I also find that the humidity is often highest over night so run it during the night and you might not need to use it as much during the daytime.

This item has been running continuously in my shop for about a week. We have 3 freezers with glass lids and an upright chiller with a glass door and the glass has been fogged with condensation for months and, in the case of one chest freezer, water has been pooling on the top of it. Since using this dehumidifier the surfaces have remained dry and free of fogging. It has made a big difference to us, both in terms of presenting stock and not having to wipe surfaces numerous times a day. We empty the tank twice a day, it's not full but it suits us to do that. The tank is my only niggle; it can be fiddly to get back in place and I had expected it to be larger but it's acceptable. We can not notice much noise from the dehumidifier at all, it's just a gentle background hum. The controls are easy to operate and the entire machine is very light to move around on its' wheels. I wish I'd got it ages ago and hope it has a decent life span.

I`ve had one of these for 2 1/2 years and use it every day= ace and they`re easy to use. They don`t take up too much space and aesthetically look good in a room. If you set it to auto you can chose what percentage you want the room humidity at, the humidifier will come on when it reaches 3% over and then go dormant again when it`s 3% below. The night time setting is quiet and the light will go off. I also use it to dry my laundry indoors with a heated airer(shut inside my bathroom). The dehumidifier will extract approx. 1.5 litres of water out of the air per washing load so stops my home from becoming damp. The only issue I`ve had was after about 1 1/2 years I noticed the cooling element had become frozen and it had stopped working properly. I just took the back off, let the ice defrost and cleaned the grill with a toothbrush which was clogged/blocked with dust and this rectified the problem. It does occasionally drip some water now but I just stand it on one of my food trays if it`s being used on carpets . The price has now dropped considerably so I would definitely recommend this product as an excellent buy.

I got this to use in a small kitchen that's consistently around 70% humidity. You can certainly hear the fan all the time but it's still fairly quiet compared to a previous one I have used. When used in the bedroom overnight, it was no issue falling asleep as it's just a consistent wooshing sound which pretty much turns into white noise. It reduces the humidity really quickly and it's convenient to be able to set a target level, meaning it will only be on when it's 3 degrees above that level. It runs until it's three degrees below the value, rinse and repeat. While small, it is pretty heavy. Not ideal for carrying up and down stairs, but it has wheels so no issue moving it around between rooms otherwise. Does exactly what it says; I'm really happy with it.

Great product. I am really suppriced how much water it can collect in just hours. I find it effective in fighting high humidity. On a negative side, it is quite heavy and the handle to carry it is not comfortable.
