What are the box dimensions?

Just a quick response - I don't know off hand, but all the pieces fit and the case fits into the molded plastic insert of the game for tidy storage. Great idea, which the game developers should have included in the game itself. Much easier to keep track of the pieces (pun intended)! Highly recommend them!

Will anything bad happen if I mismatch the colors of the cars and the colors of the boxes?

Just be aware that if you're following the core rules to Ticket to Ride, if you're using these boxes you will have to use the trains in the color of the box to represent the player of the same color as the box. For instance: if you put the green trains in the red box, the Red player would have to use green trains in the next game. This can lead to some very confusing game play, but it can be done. If you do accidentally put the wrong trains in the wrong color boxes, you always have the option of playing a "dummy" game where someone loses quickly on purpose and you can always replace the trains in the corresponding boxes after game play so that the next game would have the players matching their train colors, but of course this does take some additional time you may not have. Again: this all assumes you want to follow the rules of Ticket to Ride. You could always home brew a situation where you use the color of your choice, but I've never tried this (as I would be worried it might break the game in some way).

Do all the pieces from ttr europe and the 1912 expansion fit in these boxes?

Yes, they do. I just used them on my Europe game. I tossed the stations in and 45 trains into each of the 5 containers. No "neatness" needed. All cases easily shut - there was no bulging or pushing against the lids or sides. Plenty of room!

If you are a fan of the Ticket to Ride board games then these are for you. Fits in perfectly in the slots in the game box. We put the stations and depots in them as well as the carriages. So much easier than getting them out of the plastic bags all the time. Great addition.

These fit perfectly back in the game box. I purchased a set for my Ticket to Ride USA game and for a friend, then came back to purchase another set for my Ticket to Ride Europe. The little cases fit the train stations for Ticket to Ride Europe as well. It's great having all the trains organized and easy to hand to each player. The cases are see-through so players can easily view how many trains each player has left. These are adorable and match the color of each train set. Highly recommend! A great addition to the game and a good value.

The description is misleading. Paid 3k and only got storage container. The quality is also cheap plastic. Description - names and images are deceiving. Please don't buy it

My whole family loves the "Ticket to Ride" board games. In fact, I have all of them. So when I saw these really neat containers that look like traveling trunks that hold the game pieces I had to get one. The containers are colored coded to match the color of your game pieces and it holds all the trains plus the stations. I only bought one hoping I would get another for Father's day. The cost is small for the value and are more convenient than other types of containers for these pieces. They make an already fun game even more fun.
