Nice charts
I hoped the charts would be presented as they are on the cover, just lots of little charts but they are presented differently page by page with some as projects.

a gorgeous book
This book is filled with cute cross stitch patterns which every fan of cross stitch will love. Even though they are described as mini cross stitch designs, they are all different sizes.. from about 4in and over. This means that they are perfect for small projects or grouped together to create a larger sampler, cushion or even a bag. I love these kind of projects. I always seem to have a lot of left over random threads from other kits, and these beautiful designs are ideal to use them up. You will find a design for all your family members and friends. They will make perfect gifts and there are plenty of ideas included. Beginnners will find a lot of useful information to start their new hobby and advanced stitchers will love working with a smaller design that can be stitched quickly. Mini cross Stitch Designs is set into sections, with designs for a lot of different events. From flowers to rockets there is a lot to interest you and get your creative juices flowing.

Inaccuracies in at least 1 pattern
Frustratingly, I chose one of the lengthier projects for my first attempt. Having ordered Aida and DMC threads for colours I didn’t already have (apart from “tin white” which doesn’t seem to be available, or listed on DMC’s own GB website, so I decided to substitute blanc). When I compare the threads to the names of the colours they don’t correspond, and indeed a different pattern lists 726 as “light topaz” not topaz. Basically, the bee cushion project seems to have a thoroughly inaccurate pattern. It doesn’t even list that the thread DMC780 is for backstitch on the beehive, and the pattern doesn’t indicate where the backstitch goes. It was only when I realised another smaller pattern has a similar beehive (although, annoyingly, positioned 1 space away on the pattern so I can’t use it as easily for that section, even having marked the boxes on my Aida with a soluble pen). And, the 780 thread is correctly called “ultra very dark topaz” there, as opposed to” light topaz” on the pattern I’ve been striving to decipher. It would be useful if the publishers gave a weblink to report errors and could then update corrections. Lots of attractive ideas I look forward to trying but I’d be wary of buying threads again, and might just improvise.
