Update: I left my original update below, but have added to it.I was able to build a structure around my Dragon Fruit plant in such a way that I could point these down via clamping, reflective, work-light housings. The structure is 3x4x4 feet, (a big box), wrapped in a frost blanket and tarps as an outer shell. It looks like a huge Christmas present.I paired this with a WiFi timer/controller to regulate the temperature and used a Bluetooth digital T-meter to keep checks on the outside vs inside temps.Using two of these bulbs, I was able to keep the temperature inside the box between 50F and 60F with ambient temps as low as 11F.Initial Review:These are supposed to be hot, but these are too hot for my needs. I purchased this for an outdoor plant to keep it warm on cold nights. I am afraid to use this bulb as it may be too hot.The limit of my Thermonitor is 565 degrees. Photos attached.These are not defective, and I will keep them for something else later on.

I purchased the BULBMASTER when Amazon was out of stock of the Phillips brand. So far, this seems to work just as well.My patients enjoy infrared heat during their acupuncture treatments. Infrared heat helps reduce pain, relax muscles and circulate blood. They are so well loved by patients, I keep two lamps in each treatment room. One is directed the low back or torso while the other keeps their feet warm. During a treatment, people's bodies tend to cool down. The infrared heat keeps them comfortable and relaxed.These bulbs are dimmable, which is a necessity with the KS Choi Infrared lamp fixtures I use. I prefer this heat system over a TDP black plate lamp for two important reasons. The black plate lamps are a safety hazard because no light is emitted so it's not obvious when left on. With red bulb lamps, there is no mistaking when the light is on. Another reason I prefer these is that infrared bulbs heat instantly and I can place it at the optimal distance for each patient. Black plate lamps take at least 10 minutes to heat up. It's a guessing game on how close to place it to each patient's body.I have also tried the RubyLux NIR-A Near Infrared Bulb Grade A. Both are good products, but the Bulbmaster sells for half the price.

Arrived safely well packaged and on time. We use them to heat garage cats' sleeping area. They give all paws up.

Purchased to help keep ambient temp inside a small greenhouse above freezing. We have the greenhouse over out well pump whenever we have a freeze and this does the trick. Keeps the pressure line above freezing so we don't lose water on those rare cold nights.

Great! put out the heat for our well pump room during these low in the 20-40’d temperatures!

I used this bulb 24/7 for 8 weeks to brood chicks. When it was time to turn it off and remove it from the reflector, the bulb portion separated from the metal base so it can not be used again.
