I like it!! It is very white so went on my white finish beautifully. I applied it with a large brush and then rubbed it with a lint free cloth to take away the access. It was very easy to use. It is just the right amount of softness. It gave my chalk paint a smooth velvet finish with a great seal. I would purchase again

By far Jolie waxes upstages the competition by price and quality I love the black wax I use it on all sorts of pieces not just for chalk paint either you can use this wax on any surface with any finish it’s easy to use get your clear on first i mix this one with white to make a grey use it pure black for my antique looks ( not a fan of brown anywhere but have used the browns before just not my decor choice) and to just give something dimension or if I want to darken a paint that I bought that looked one way but dried another it’s the best !!

Purchased from the Paint Shoppe via Amazon, shipped next day and was delivered ahead of schedule nicely packaged and with a bow! I did not use a brush to apply the wax, just a clean lint free cloth but the black wax added the depth and color I was hoping for, I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. It does require some elbow grease so if you aren’t willing or able to put the man power in I would suggest looking for an alternative top coat. Shipping cost was reasonable, I would buy again!

I have never used a black decorative wax before so I was so nervous about using this, but I had a look in mind for my armoire and this surpassed my expectations! I thought it was expensive for the size when I received it, however when I used it I realized the price for the size is great because a little goes a long way! Its so buttery and easy to use. If you make a mistake while applying it, it's easy to clean off anf fix. When its completely dry, it hardens to creates a very durable finish. The picture is of my armoire I painted with white chalk paint and rubbed black Jolie finishing wax in the crevices to create the look, the picture is taken after finishing the paint and suing the armoire for 4 months.

I can’t possibly say enough GREAT things about this product! The black wax was perfect for my bookshelf and it turned out better than I thought it would! The customer service is amazing and I will only be buying paint and wax from them from now on!
