Malibu Celestial 6 Pack LED Pathway Lights, LED Low Voltage Landscape Lighting Garden Light for Driveway, Yard, Lawn, Pathway, Garden 8406-2904-06

Two years ago I bought the first set of 6 of these, even after reading really bad reviews of failures. People sometimes do dumb things and then blame the product. After 6 months of no failures, I added second set. Except for snapped stakes and bad connections due to the insulation puncture system, all 12 fixtures worked flawlessly for the last two years. Now I am adding third and fourth set.The Good - The LED electronics.Malibu worked it out very well, the fixtures run from DC as well as AC power (I guess that is for compatibility with Malibu's older systems). As the voltage is decreased, current is increased to compensate, so that light output remains constant. This compensates for voltage drops due to long wiring. Very nicely done !!!On the other hand, the connectors which puncture the supply wire insulation is poor design for outdoors equipment.The Bad - the ground stakeThis stake looks lige something to pound into the ground, but instructions caution not to. User is instructed to plant it like a flower patch. If you don't, the plastic flange chips away. This would not be the worst - every once in a while my gardener crashes into the fixtures with lawnmower - the stakes snap right off. I am replacing them with landscaping stakes (yes, hammered into the ground) and slide the fixture tubes over them.I can't speak much for the transformer features, I have the switch set to "ON" and control the lights by "Avi-on" blue-tooth module. The new transformer which just arrived rattles inside, and little pieces of plastic fell out, but I am not needing it, because I added the new fixtures to the old installation.The Ugly - the instructionsThis is 6 pages, double sided, small print, 3 languages. And despite that, they say so little. Half a page (in each language) is devoted to what not to do. One instruction is not to connect more than 20 Watts total, but it does not say anywhere how much one fixture consumes. Actual useful instructions are contained in a picture on 1/8 of the page, the same exact picture 3 times, one for each language.

Beautiful lights for front of home . I was amazed at how much light these provide n how light is directed downwards. This eliminates the use of to many lights . I highly recommend these lights . They come on at dusk n off at dawn. I used a hammer and a steel rod or screw driver to make holes first, then inserted light stem into hole . These prevents to much pressure on light and stem . Anything will break with to much pressure. This is my 2nd year n so far so good n very beautiful at night . I incorporated a 10 watt spot light for red front door . Just count total wattage n dont exceed max. Very pleased would purchase again.

These LED lights were purchased as a replacement for 7 year old Malibu Celestial lights. They are no longer manufactured so it was great to find them on Amazon! They are bright 12V long lasting LED lights, with only 1 downside. The connection assembly from light fixture to common transformer wire is difficult to clamp together. If no contact is made, disassembly is almost impossible and the connector is usually ruined. Manual connection is then necessary by stripping all wires and connecting with standard #16 or #18 gauge wire connectors. This makes for a better connection and also lasts longer. As long as Amazon offers these lights, they are a great purchase!

I got these wired LED lights to replace my led solar lights as the solar panels burnt out in less that a year. I love these lights. The only hard part was putting in the wire and burying it. After that the lights were easy to install. I did not use the 20 watt transformer but bought the 45 watt transformer as I also put on spot 4 spot lights and needed the extra wattage. I put 4 lights in the front and two in the back yard. The only thing I noticed is that I had earlier bought the single light and once I put in the two from the kit the light is a bit cooler on the kit lights, not enough to bother me. So far excellent lights.

I was needing to update my existing low-wattage outdoor lighting and came across these! I was attracted by not only the design but the claim of long lasting LED bulb. The only reason I did not give a 5 star rating on the installation is because the pieces that you clamp onto the wire were awkward to get a grip with using pliers. I ended up breaking off one of them. I installed the rest without breaking anything, but it took some elbow grease! Other than that part, I love them! They give off a nice light around my path. Of course the long lasting bulb will have to prove itself in time. I would purchase them again.

The reviews said warm white light, but these weren't warm, they were indeed LED white- if you're picky like me you know that white LED weird glow I am talking about. Two of the six were non-working when they arrived. And they cast a weird a weird shadow on the ground, we said it looked like helicopter blades on ground. Leaving areas completely dark. These didn't "feel cheap" but the globe that looks like glass is plastic. I have returned them and will likely not buy the same brand again. These are a lot of work to get out and put together and connect to find out that you have non working lights. Pulling it all up again to return is a pain.

This is the second set I bought. The lights all worked and looked very nice in my yard.

These are by far the best, most awesome lights you could ever want. Timer settings work perfect. Lights are great to look upon.Will buy again if need arises.
