perfect for kids
My 7 year old got this from the library and my son was obsessed with it. This past Christmas I got it for him for Book Flood. He had just turned 2 and made us sit and read it to him page for page and would sit for 20 or so pages at a time. I liked it b/c I actually learned a lot about dinos while reading to him. He loved looking at all the dino pictures in comic book format. My 7 year old actually snagged it and read it for herself as well. It is now 8+ months later and it is still a favorite in the house and we are going to get some more from this series for my older daughter who has an interest in science. Such a great and engaging concept!

Fabulous!
What an awesome book! Combining fascinating nonfiction content with the attractive and appealing nature of the graphic novel format makes for a winning combination. Add in a popular topic and you have a book that libraries need to have. Dinosaurs are a topic that have fascinated children for many years. This book presents information about some of the major discoveries regarding dinosaurs as well as some of the major players. For a relatively short book, I learned a great deal and the illustrations are gorgeous and appealing. The book also clearly demonstrates the fluid nature of scientific inquiry and how ideas change over time as more information comes to light. This book is bound to be a popular title for any young dinosaur lover.

“We’re certain of all of this” sold me
I love this book. I’m not generally into the graphic novel/comic book genre but I bought this book because I was so impressed with its portrayal of the science behind dinosaurs. “We are certain of all of this.” It’s why I bought it. Each section begins with the year, what we know about the earth, what we know about dinosaurs, their extinction, and their evolution. Then it ends with “we are certain of all of this.” Science is not exact and is constantly changing with new discoveries and new technologies. I love that this book addresses that very thing. My 5 year old son loves dinosaurs and we both learned so much from this book about classification, different scientists, and different theories. He didn’t read it to me (it’s much closer to 3-5th grade) but he’s got enough of it memorized now he probably could🤣

Great for Curious Kids
I got this book as a gift for my nephew last Christmas. He loves stories and science but struggles with reading. This book was an absolute hit with him. He loves the pictures and reads it over and over. He now wants the rest of the books in the series! I am so thankful I chose this book to gift to him.

My middle graders love this nonfiction graphic about dinos and fossils!
This is a great science and history graphic about dinosaurs and fossils. My kids (age range 10-13) have spent hours with this book. The art is amazing and there is so much to learn. I love the book too. I honestly think kids younger than mine would enjoy the book just as much as mine have. My own kids read the book over and over, and they enjoy discussing the information presented by MK Reed. This is the first book in this series that we've read but we certainly plan to check out more. Highly recommended.

O...K
Its more about the people & process involved in how we get to know about dinosaurs... much less about dinosaurs themselves.Definitely not in the same league as the other Science Comics title on Coral Reefs
