Tikka Masala Sauce, 16.5 Ounce (Pack of 6)

This stuff used to be fantastic, I loved making dinner with it. My last shipment had jars with a new label (the 3rd style in the last year or two), but I didn't mind the rebranding. Then I poured the sauce from the jar and immediately noticed how much thinner it was than the previous product. As I simmered down my meal I gave the jar a careful reading and noticed that the cooking instructions have changed and they no longer want you to add cream. The ingredients list a yogurt, which may account for why the sauce is thinner and lighter. But there's much less flavor than this product used to have, and it tastes saltier. I feel like they must have come up with a cheaper (for them) recipe, but to me it's not worth buying any more.

This is the best Tikka Masala sauce I've ever had from a jar. The flavor easily cooks into the vegetables we added, and is definitely better than others we tasted (Pataks - bland, tasty bite - needs more taste, Sharwood - slightly less bland than the Pataks). Unfortunately, it's no longer available at my local grocer - we only find the Pataks in the discount isle and, well, the only good Pataks is the Vindaloo flavor which is still lacking). This sauce has a slightly tart flavor which mixes very well with rice and vegetables and/or meat/tofu. There is a bit of extra oil that never spoils the taste. After eating this, it's hard to eat another Tikka Marsala dish without going to an authentic Indian place.

This sauce used to be amazing and better than most masala sauces I have tried at Indian restaurants. But the last shipment I got was runny and watered down. Not sure what they changed, but please go back to your original recipe.

Bought this at H‑E‑B today. Gross. I can’t imagine anyone buying this a second time.

I tend to agree with posters about new formulation. Much thinner and not very good compaired to the formula of the past. This was our go to sauce for Tikka Masala but unfortunately an inferior product now. I will no longer purchase it.

TOO SALTY...WOW...INEDIBLE!

This sauce is disgusting. Salty and runny. It tastes nothing like what you'd get at a restaurant. Threw it in the trash after one use.

This is the best Tikka Masala sauce on the market! I have, tried without success, to find one that is closer to the real deal. It is super easy, and I even use fat free half & half instead of cream and it tastes just as good! We have it every week.
