Very nice
This is a great little saw, especially for the price. I was genuinely surprised by the construction and quality of materials. The frame is well designed and finished, making it very easy to setup and adjust the blade. The threads are as smooth as brass fasteners. Enough can't be said for the quality of construction. The clamps secure the blade very well and I haven't experienced any slippage. It may not have all the bells and whistles like a knew concepts saw, but this saw is as solid as it gets. I do enjoy using the knew concepts saw but I don't feel I get any more out of it than I do the Olsen. To be honest I prefer the traditional look of the Olsen over the knew concepts. I suspected the handle to be the one area where they skimped out in order to keep the cost down but I was wrong. Scraping off the layer off paint revealed a well-selected piece of hard maple. Nice! I would suggest anyone buying this saw to do as I did and remove the paint immediately and shape the handle to your desire. One last thing I would like to mention is the saw blade. You don't buy a mechanical pencil without buying extra lead and you don't buy a fret saw without having extra blades. I've seen some people call this saw trash because the blade arrived bent. Of course it did, it's a thin piece of steel banging around a box that traveled 100s of miles to your door within two days. Upon ordering a Fret saw you should always order a set of blades to go with it. I suggest the Pegas 5in skip tooth blades and nothing else.

Great little saw for the price, but there is a bit of a learning curve.
I use this saw for fine woodworking, mostly dovetails and other small joints, also occasional marquetry or scrollwork. Blades are easily installed, and most brands fit fine. It does take some practice to get the tension just right, but it's not difficult to learn. The screws are well-machined and stable. When adjusted correctly the blade stays at proper tension without much fiddling required. Typically, the blade will break before it will slip. Making 90-degree turns with this type saw can be a bit fiddly, but again, practice. The blade is stationery and does not pivot the way higher-end fret saws often do. Overall, it's a great little tool for the price. If you can afford a fancier pivoting saw like the Knew Concepts or Blue Spruce, I'd probably make the investment in flexibility and ease of use, but if you're on a budget or just don't need that functionality, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this option.

A very nice tool
When you have precision cutting to do and working by hand is essential this tool does the job. I had a smaller on but needed a deeper throat for a larger piece of metal. Sadly, mine came with the included blade broken. I still highly recommend this quality tool.

Get you one for small detail cuts
Needed to cut some small details in a bone carving. Worked amazingly well with the blade that came with it. Great value and will definitely use it more in the future.

Too flexable for dovetail work
Maybe it would be OK used in a birds mouth for thin metals, but the frame is too springy to get enough tension for cutting the bottom of a dovetail. Hard to keep the blade strait in the clamps. My 70 year old one is better. I am returning it. Guess I have to buy a Knew or just go back to coping saws.

nice saw for 5" Scroll blades
I got this vs coping saw because I have an excess of 5" blades that fit my scroll saw. I just pull the blade end pins, and they fit nicely. Like the adjustability and deep throat (LOL!). The handle is only press-fit and promptly fell off, so I glued it back on with JB weld.

The saw is great. However...
The saw is great. However, Amazon unfortunately has no way for me to explain that the blade was broken without returning the whole saw. The saw was fine when I opened the package, but since it was with other items the thin blade was broken.

Came with a bent and buckled blade that now has a kink in it and is useless. And was packaged like that.
