This is exactly what it is, nothing more, no frills. It does its job as expected. Initially, the plastic seems to be high density (more fragile), but I have had these drop from the 8 foot ceiling height of the vent and not crack – not even the small guidance channels along the edges which allow it to expand or contract to the vent size of your choice (YMMV). That said, it fell by being knocked off accidentally – the magnets are strong enough to hold it in place on a ceiling vent, but not too strong to easily reposition or remove.

This Same EXACT A/C Deflector by Frost King is a deal at only $5.48 here on Amazon. There is a Home Intuition A/C deflector that is simply repackaged and has a nice thank you card inside and IS THE EXACT SAME A/C Deflector as this Frost King IN EVERY WAY for more than DOUBLE for $11.95 I ordered both thinking there was a slight Quality or shape difference between the two A/C Deflectors but both are exactly the same in every way. This Frost King is $5.48 and the Home Intuition is $11.95 just repackaged. This Frost King is excellent and works great and is not over-priced. I hope this helps someone!

I have bought a lot of these, probably a dozen, and really like them. Keep in mind they're fragile though. If you put them on floor vents like i do, they are really clear and hidden from view for the most part. So i have easily stepped on one. They shatter like a charm. If you're not in a relaxing, clean, and blissfully quiet child-free house like mine, you'll probably have these broken or in pieces. That said, they work great, the price is awesome!

I read the reviews so I was hesitant to buy it. But it's just fine. It's exactly what it says it is. The size is correct, it seems sturdy to do the job it's designed for and the magnets stick well to the register. I disagree with the bad or mediocre reviews. I'd buy another one if another room needs one.

I have to give it credit. It is very easy to work with. Two magnets that stick to the metal grill for the vent. Well, if they all came non-damaged that is. I ordered 3 of these, 2 of which came undamaged. If you are looking for something sturdy, turn away. These are thin and will break rather quickly. You get what you pay for. Few problems with the design that I see. 1. The plastic is cheap and will not stand the tests of time. 2. The device extends to match the size of the vent, but does not have a stopper. This means it will come apart very easily. 3. The magnets hold, just barely, but they hold. There are stronger magnets out there for cheap. This was a bad selection. 4. The magnets are on the plastic on a thin lip, this lip is a break point and will snap easy. If you have kids or a dog. get something stronger. This is a break hazard waiting to happen. They are cheap and do the job, but they will break. It is only a matter of time.

This is a great economical heat deflector for those who want to divert airflow without having to spend a lot of $$$$. This item is great for home/office use. I would recommend another product for those who want deflector in high impact environments. The supplied magnets do the job of holding the deflector in place whether side/floor mounted, I would recommend supplying your own magnets if you expect frequent bumps against this product. Pros: Sturdy, extendable plastic (10-14in) Good magnets - does the job of holding the deflector in place whether mounted sideways or on the floor, Will not melt under normal heating conditions Cons: The deflector only covers half a standard vent but does not deter from deflector air flow efficiently from what I have experienced. *You may want to get a different kind of deflector if you expect to be experiencing frequent bumps or extreme heat beyond the norm within home/office use. In the end, this is a great heat deflector that will do the job at a cheap price.

I should’ve listen to the reviews. As you can see from the pictures mine is broke in the corner. The packing box that it came in was not damaged but the box that the item was in was squished like it was already packed squished. The Magnets are barely on the unit. I can put it on the vent and as soon as the air comes on the force of the air just pushes it off the vent

Was looking for something to get ac directly off of plants and it works awesome. So easy to install took me 15 mins to realize I just needed to place it “on top” of vent instead of trying to grip on sides lol. But have recommended product to family and friends

Changed out my bathroom cabinet and of course the contractors just had the ducting going underneath the old cabinet into the whole space. Once the new cabinet was installed the heat was blowing up into the new cabinet. This solved the problem very easily and quickly. Literally took 5 seconds to fit it to the air vent in order to deflect the air to come out horizontally to the floor.

I gave this 4 stars because although it's not made to last, it works well for us in the out-of-the way area it's placed in. Not high quality, but consider the price. It's not melting over the register and it moves the heat in the right direction. I wouldn't use it in a high traffic area.

Good for my application. Used it to divert incoming airflow from my air exchange system.

Game changer does the job

This is solved my need to evenly distribute heat around the house. Its a lot better than just air shooting upwards that tends to dissipate on the curtains. But its not the strongest. Its thin plastic and snaps easy. Wouldve been nicer if its sturdier
